well i have another query. i talked to the service centre guy today about centre lock remote. he told me that the remote is only for locking and unlocking, but it has no anti theft feature. so no alarm will ring even if somebody opens it without remote. he asked me to fix an autocop or xenos system from the market. I was of the impression that the original remote is having the facility. Can anybody confirm it whether it has in Magna (O) or not? thanks

There is security system in Magna (O). Ask him why the hell is the sticker on front door glass.

Hi All,

I want to add something on lock feature of I 20. I have also I 20 CRDI (Igen) Magna Normal not O. I have tried to open the doors with 2nd original key (it doesn't have remote) car starts honting when I insert the key but gates are opened . I have to go home again and get back the remote to stop honting.

Conclusion: If you insert the key even the original one other than remote car start Honting like hell. So try this and see what will happen in your car.

@Deville,

This I20 looks really good man, but tell me

You have spent 7.5L and it doesn't have ABS and Air bags too(though it is not very important to me) and 6th gear(do you find any use with it in your day to day driving)

Can you confirm on steering rattling as this car was known for it

Thanks

yes I noticed the same. thanks Deville, i asked the service centre guy and then he showed me how it works. basically it wont function within 30 sec of locking. only thing he told me now that it doesnot have position sensor, ie if sombody moves my car, it may not raise the alarm. by the way do we need to add some beeping indicator for reversing the car?

Without ABS and airbag, it's still feature rich, make you shame when you go near a Swift [evil]. Day-to-day even 5th is of no use. 6th is boon on highway.

Never felt any steering rattling till date. They might've rectified that.

WIthout opening, no ones gonna move the car, unless towing [;)]. Beeping is irritating. Reverse sensors are precise, not annoying like aftermarket ones.

hey friends i am new to this site, i need help from you all. i am planning to purchase igen i20 1.2 asta(O) but am really confused between colours as the options are red, bronze, white and twilight blue. grey is eliminated because one of our area member owns it. not interested in silver. so it would be helpful if you guys can help me out with the colour confusion.
if you can post some pics it will be really nice. again the dealer in pune quoted the on road price for 1.2 asta (O) as 8,89,***rs. i personally found the price too high and some fraud in it yet i have not checked the price with other dealers. guys can you also share your on road price for i20 1.2 asta or asta(O).
Thanks in advance.

Second Service @10k km (May 3, 2013)

Second Service @10k km (May 3, 2013)

Done @Popular Hyundai itself. As usual they tried value added services, tried making us paint the minor scratches, which I outright said no to. Only thing apart from service was interior cleaning, which I felt was absolutely unnecessary for 1k.

Parts:
Topups - 44
Hyundai Servo Engine Oil (5.1L) - 1215
Windscreen Wash Fluid - 69
Grease-Caliper Guide Rod - 149
Wheel Balance Weight (20 gm x 4, 30 gm x 4) - 131
Diesel Filter - 1736
Air Filter - 280
Oil Filter - 364
Oil Plug Gasket - 33

Labor:
Interior Cleaning - 1000
Wheel Balancing - 260
Wheel Alignment - 335

Total + VAT - 6427

Crossed 15k

As always, the home-made LEDs [evil]

WP_20130812_031.jpg

15k km experience:
Done 15k km. No rattles, no failures. Never tested the mileage till date.
Issues faced - Tyre damage. No pleased with Apollo Acceleres. One tyre side wall torn, now used a spare. Second tyre worn outside edge because of low pressure, rode almost 80 km with almost flat tyre.

3rd service - 20k km

Third service over. Done at Popular Hyundai itself. Lost one mudflap, changed full set. Small scratches here and there and and aunt hit from behind, denting the bumper. All touched up (panels fully painted).

Camera360_2013_12_9_102601.jpg

Mileage only checked once. 17 kmpl with 100% AC and mixed driving condition and 5% terrible traffic block.

Parts:
Hyundai Servo Engine Oil (5.1L) - 1215
Windscreen Wash Fluid - 69
Wheel Balance Weight x10 - 131
Diesel Filter - 1430
Air Filter - 280
Oil Filler Cap Gasket - 22
Oil Filter - 364
Oil Plug Gasket - 33

Extra:
Mudflap Set - 410

Extra Labour:
Interior Cleaning - 1000
Wheel Balancing - 260
Wheel Alignment - 335
Painting - 6000

Plus tax - 1540

Actual service cost minus extra jobs done = 5125 (approx)

Hoarding put up at service center. Unsuspecting customers cheated when giving feedback. 8 means poor, 9 means good, 10 for excellent. These are few things prompt me to complain. Service was prompt and good. Will send to Popular Hyundai's head first, if no response to Hyundai India.
