Updates:

Good : installed MGA front power windows at rs 6500
Looks absolutely OE......very neat installation ( i was there the whole time )
I had a doubt whether the colour would match the doorpads but the colour matches fine.

Bad : my sis banged the front right fender on a pillar while reversing carelessly.......resulting in bumper dislodge from the front and a dent on fender
will update the pics soon

IMG_0747.jpg

the autocop security system-remote
cost rs 3100
no wiring cut or sleeved as it had original connectors for MS cars
negatives: behaves erratically sometimes(the locking switch on the inside of the car doesnt fully engage and thus i have to lock and unlock again ), the locking switches have become a little harder to operate after installing the system
( has anyone faced the same problems with autocop systems )

1 Tacho install from Vxi variant ( i love to rev and without tacho i am afraid to harm the engine )
Can we really get the Tacho from VXi integrated into a lower version? I am not sure about it but would love to get one done for my car.

I am due to get delivery of my WagonR Lxi CNG and would love to have Tacho over there (at one point I was considering Vxi majorly because of Tacho being there (i hope my family is not reading this point else my secret would be revealed :P)). If Yes, what would be the cost of getting the same done?

Nice pics and update. See how that PW setup got matched to the interiors like the factory fitted one.

You could have gone for Nippon instead Autocop as they troubled lot of people after using for some time, I wish you should be lucky out of that list[:)]

Update at 3650 km

have calculated FE thrice till now by tankful method -

first time- 14.5kmpl
second time- 13kmpl
third time ( manual mentions to calculate fuel efficiency only after 3000 kms so this one counts the most ) - 16.02-16.6 kmpl

Usage - 70% city with 100% AC on

and i have been making no attempt to get good FE in fact after 2500kms i have been holding gears and revving the car a lot more
Will be very happy if the car continues to give 16.5kmpl in city with AC on

ICE,parking sensors, gear lock installation still pending

Thanks for the info however I am disappointed with the MASS guys. I tried with every one right from sales to accessories and even to service personnel but they are just not ready for installing a Tachometer in Wagon R Lxi CNG. Not sure why they are reluctant when I also offered them full technical help from a friend of mine who has done it himself. I don't want to do it outside as I am scared about warranty being void. The reason they say is the dashboard unit has its limitations and if we plug in more wires and if due to load something happens, they should not responsible.

That a great FE you are getting in a petrol version. Interesting to see the 3000 run-in period coming to be true as I can see significant increase in the FE of car post it.

I have booked a Ritz VXI (Silver) and will be taking delivery of the same early next week, Need your advice on the below:

1. Is it good to get the tires upgraded to 185/70 R14 as soon as i take delivery of the car ? or should i wait for sometime and then look for a tyre upgrade. I recently checked my new car and saw factory fitted Apollo AMAZER XL (TL) Tubeless P 165/80 R14
2. I am planning for Bridgestone MY-02 Sporty. Are they good ? welcome for any suggestions
3. Will tire upgrade reduce the FE. ?

Grateful if anyone can advice me on the above

upgrading to 185/70 R14 will improve the handling and braking. It will decrease your FE by maximum 1km/lt. So it depends on you whether you want to upgrade or not.Ritz is definitely undertyred so i will recommend an upgrade .I havnt done so because my car will never leave city limits.
Even my car is fitted with amazers, these tyres along with MRF's and JK's are considered among the worst. I wish they would have given atleast apollo accelleres which are considered much better and also come as OEM in ritz.Bad luck[frustration]

If you want to upgrade do so within first 100kms.This will ensure that you get the best deal.Talk to the tyre dealer beforehand.
Many good brands are available which include michelin xm2/bridgestone my-02/ yokohamas.Take your pick.Avoid michelins if you frequently travel on bad roads.
