I agree with you explanation of bench in the Ritz back seat[:)] it is really bumpy there. Which brand tyres are they in your friends Ritz ?? 65k in 2 years, OMG. what is his experience about the car now, can you post that for me and if possible ask him about the 20k service cost too.

^^ Guralla,

He is working 200Km away from our home town and he'll come home and return on all weekends here. As he is in sales, had lot of traveling required and using the same car for this. His monthly run is around 4k km. He didn't spent anything else than service cost till now and by next month, car will reach 2 year old. As per him the mileage is between 21-23km for the tankful to tankful method.

I just called him now after seeing your post. To my surprise, he still not changed his tires and currently crossed 66 K Km in stock JK tires. he planed to change it on 70K service and buy Alloys too. For the 20K Km service he had to pay around 10K rupees including the charge for synthetic oil(around 7.2K).

Thank you for quick reply buddy !! Oh, the report is inline with what I expected about that car[:)] as it is the same story for me after 2 years and 20k run. I have also expected the tyres to be JK as they last very longer, but 165 is really not comfortable for me, please check with him on his opinion about the tyre size and their behavior in terms of braking, body roll, grip on the road. Was that synthetic oil suggested by Maruti, I don't think so

Thanks in advance !!

As far as i know, he didnt have any big issues with the brakes and he'll drive the car below 90km/hr only. Though car has crossed this much km, there is not a single scratch on that white car except a dent made by a dog on the bumper.
Synthetic oil available in MASS and they prefers same for Maruti Diesel engines as per my knowledge. As i know him better, he will not buy anything extra from out side/do not spent any money for modification. He still using the stock fabric seats with out a seat cover. the mats, mud flaps are there as offer he got and wheel cups and HU he fixed from MASS. The only modification he done is the 90/100w bulbs in the headlight.

In Ritz, front seats this is OK, but in the back seats the body roll and this stiff suspension makes the travel difficult compared to other petrol cars in local roads.
I have no idea about the rear seats........not even sat on them once

Was that synthetic oil suggested by Maruti, I don't think so
Maruti recommends and uses synthetic oil for ddis cars now For older cars which came with mineral oil from the factory the ASS asks the owner whether to change to synthetic or continue with mineral oil If the owner is willing to spend extra the oil is changed to synthetic

Car has completed its run in , presently odo reads at 3050km

Updates:

Good : installed MGA front power windows at rs 6500
Looks absolutely OE......very neat installation ( i was there the whole time )
I had a doubt whether the colour would match the doorpads but the colour matches fine.

Bad : my sis banged the front right fender on a pillar while reversing carelessly.......resulting in bumper dislodge from the front and a dent on fender
will update the pics soon

@Ph,

do you have any idea Which brand oil Mass using in your Ritz petrol?
Synthetic/normal 20W40?
I have heard that maruti has completely shifted to synthetic ( atleast in diesel cars ).Want to know about it myself.I hope its still mineral as my usage doesnt warrant the extra cost of synth.

check this service bill, you will find Total and Castrol there
But these r fr diesel and as far as i know u will have a choice of synth/min as your car came with mineral from factory........u have gone fr mineral right???
