My XXL sized scissor set. As can be compared by my hands and fingers near the grip, they are really big sized scissors-viz. 8, 9, 10 ,and 12 inches from left to right.

L-shaped spanner set in phosphate finish. This caters for cars and SUV sized lug nuts viz 18,19 and 21.This thing ,because of this peculiar finish never rusts, despite of rough usage like being left out on a wet floor overnight, and being forgotten inside the bucket with car wash foam etc etc..

Hi doc,
Is this pump actually effective for car tyres? It looks so small!

BTW here is what I brought
http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...ytvs-tdi-22-vacuum-cleaner-tyre-inflator.html
Not sure - did not try yet.

But, last week, back tyre of my scooter got punctured and brought a puncture guy to remove the particular wheel and take to his place for attending the puncture. He brought couple instruments to remove the wheel, but after seeing my scooter (Maestro Edge) he said it is different fit and not able to remove here and wanted to take the scooter to his place.

He enquired if any foot pump available and I got it one from my neighbour who use the pump mainly to inflate his cycle, which was useful to inflate around 80% of air in my scooter tyre and that too within a minute or so.

So, at least I can use it for scooter tyres, even if not fully useful for car.[:)]

I have bought Dewalt Cordless Drill Driver from Amazon on last Great Indian Festival sales. Being a fan of Stanley B&D brand, I'm proud to add this machine to my collection. [:D]

Quick review: Along with cordless drill driver, it includes charger, 1 extra battery, 109 unbranded accessories set and a nylon bag to carry machine only.

Drill feels solid and powerful. I did some testing and it can remove tight screws easily. Sometimes the screw head may break if its too tight but correct torque setting will prevent it. Battery takes 2 hours to charge and I'm yet to know how long they last. Extra battery will be helpful when there is prolonged work. Provided 109 accessories is generic so quality is average and you can see one bit is already rusted but the whole kit is VFM.

Cost: Rs 5,600 effectively (7k listing offer, 10% bank discount & 10% cashback)

Link: Amazon

p.s Also bought oil can (Rs. 200) so I can use used gear oil for general purpose.

does the drill have light source which can fall on the workplace when in use ?
Yes, there is a small led right below the chuck but it has drawbacks. 1. The chuck obstructs the light so the screw (for example) will not be clearly visible. 2. Everytime the trigger is pressed, light turns on. Instead a separate switch would have helped to turn on light before pressing trigger and set it off when not needed.

Some expensive drills have led light away from chuck or on battery mount and also separate switch.

Thanks. Yes, accessories will be very helpful for my woodworking projects and other DIYs. I have got few items from gearbest; will share pics tomorrow.

The oil can is 1 pint. I think JCB is just a sticker and has no direct link with JCB company. Initially it had original logo (as shown in listing pics) but later manufacturer changed it, may be due to complaint from company. However, quality of the can is excellent and works nicely.

Here are my C-Clamps. I have most of the sizes. For those who are not aware of these ,A C-clamp or G-clamp is a type of clamp device typically used to hold a wood or metal workpiece, and often used in, automotive ,carpentry and welding. They are very handy when working on brake calipers. These C-Clamps have been used in carpentry for quite awhile, they help hold pieces steady. When we stick 2 pieces of wood together with fevicol, it may end up twisting and getting deformed. But by using a c-clamp to hold it in place while it dries ,we can prevent that to a large extent.

Taparia steel centre punch. This thing doesn't rust.Maybe due to phosphate finish. Its very sturdy and has not ballooned or ruptured( in the head) even after repeated hammering with a heavy hand.
