service provider is swastik net I pay 500 per month for 1mbps speed unlimited download is it expensive or ok ?

I use BSNL Broadband, gives good backup in my area.Just changed my plan yesterday.
Plan - BB UL Combo 850 Rs.
Speed - 1mbps upto 8 GB, 256 kbps post 8GB.
Rent for modem - 25 Rs.
Calls - 350 Free calls from landline.
Bill comes near 900 Rs.

I got Airtel broad band with fixed line
Rs. 950 + tax = [Total Aprox Rs. 1087]
Speed - 2 mbps upto 10gb and 256 kbps post 10gb
no free calls. Calls will be charged [We don't use Land Line for any outgoing calls]

Vishwas, this seems to be cheaper than your existing plan. Just have a look.

at the same time I found some one has the same amount but better plan as 15gb FUP and post it will be 256 with Airtel.

I had checked with airtel and got a reply as no such plans available.

Vishwas, this seems to be cheaper than your existing plan. Just have a look.

I'm here sir , I am using BSNL Broadband currently, and a small correction is my speed post 8GB is 512 kbps , the bill comes to 1033/- if modem is not charged, it comes below 1000 Rs.currently satisfied with the plan.
P.S the download speed is 400kbps

Speed - upto 2mbps
Rent for modem - 25 for the wifi one. Gotta buy a new one now. They aren't providing new modems on rent & the current one has some problem with the Wifi!
Calls - Around 150 free calls. Don't remember exactly how much!

That's based on the network availability and network in your area, meanwhile i enjoy download speeds upto 400kbps because the telephone exchange is only 2 meters away from my home

I had this plan for the first time and my bill was coming to 800 odd, try the Combo 625, it has 512kbps speed upto 8 gb and 256kbps post 8 gb which is better for browsing and my bill was coming to 725(where 25 was for modem rent)

Got to buy a wi-fi modem.

back to the topic.. today i did speed test in my connection and this is the result


Freinds tell me one thing. Now am in 256 kbps speed since i have used all 10gb limit in 2mbps. How this is related with 256 kbps?

Well, I personally am not fond of those plans. Especially since I download a lot, 8gb will get over soon. So that means, within 5 or 10 days of the month start. I will be browsing at 256 kbps.
My cousin has 750 Unlimited 512 kbps plan in his house & at times I feel that its slow. So can't think of 256 kpbs.
