mukeshus kovalam beach is in trivandrum about 600 kms away.toward kasaragode ie also towards mangalore place to see are
1) bekal fort 2) its anandhasramam its not a temple. its at kanhangad on NH17 .kasargode is 62 kms from payyannur.
the ezhimala naval academy is about 5-6 kms from payyannur but you need some one inside for a tour inside. 3) in kasaragode there is a temple where there is a croc in the pond which is given prasad daily, i think its the madur temple.
towards kannur there is the rajarajeswara temple at taliparamba, muthappan temple, snake park and vismaya water theme park. in kannur there is the fort, payambalam beach etc.beyond kannur ther is the muzhapilangad beach, jaydev'd house where you can visit. don't miss my place payangadi where you can visit 2 temples and the madayi para.

The roads are absolute bliss to drive in Kerala.

And any places of good food, as recently there wasn't even a good hotels on highways.

in kannur there is a hotel called ondein hotel ( non veg ) where the afternoon meals is legendary. it will have heavy rush. go there and get a seat by 12noon.meals are served at 12.30.pm. get the ayakoora fry half boiled( king fish ), kallumakaya fry ( Shell fish ).in taliparamba there is a hotel called food house on the highway which serves good non veg food. another hotel about 6kms from payyanur towards kannur at a place called pilathara- Hotel new indian also has decent veg and nonveg food.towards kasargode at a place called nileswaram there is a resort called Nalanda which has good food and accomodation.at kasaragode just by the bus stand is the indian coffee house which is also a decent hotel. if going to tellichery don't miss the famous biriyani from Paris hotel, the halwa from jayabharathi bakery shoul be definitely tried. a new hotel at taliparamba called sambar chutney has good veg food, its on the highway side.

Well did a 2 days trip to North Kerala Via Mangalore.

Visited Bekal Fort -Beach, Payyanur (Attended Function), Kannur ,Muzaphilangad (Drive In Beach), Payyambalam Beach, S.T Angelo Fort, And Thallasery.


Its a 2 way lane road, got a driving experience at Kerala...

this incidently came up while I was browsing through your house boat pics !
Q) How is the sewage generated taken care off ? Is it treated/retained onboard for discharging to some shore facilities, or do you employ any other method to take care of the sewage/ waste water ! Pls elaborate !

apart from the above one can also see arackal museum at kannur town. they have added new paintings to the museum. you can also visit vismaya infotainment centre .it is a amusement park with both wet and dry rides,lazer show and 4 d show. for full day relaxation and chilling out . it is very close to muttapam temple at parsivankadavu near taliparamba.

Yes, i am a native of Kerela - God's own country. We even have our own tourism business developing in kerela. On my recent visit there, I just thought why not click a few pics so that my friends in TAI can have a glimpse of God's own country. Mind you, these are nothing extraordinary pics & these are pics of only Allepey which is known as "The Venice of Kerela".

The first Few snaps looks like the AC Road in Alleppey. Alappuzha- Changanacherry road.

Anyways it looks awesome.
