Re: My Hyundai Grand i10 Asta (O) Petrol Ownership Review

Hi Vipin, Hi Parth, Hello other grand owners

Mine is a November 2013 make. Left my car idle for 4 days and it started today at the first instance. Had left the car idle for 3 days sometime in Feb and the car had started at first instance. I have been getting a constant mileage of 15.5 Kms/litre in city driving, a majority of the drive is in 4th gear.

Vipin good to know that your car started after 8 days. I will have to leave the car idle for 10 days, but I do not want to take a chance, so will switch off the fuse. Vipin what do you say? should i take a chance and leave the fuse on or is it better to switch off the fuse and go?

Hey brother, first of all congrats for amazing mileage. I am mostly driving in 2nd gear and getting 12-13. Second, you dont have to get scared putting your car idle. If the vehicle has the issue you must find it and get it fixed so that it doesnt cheat you at a crucial moment. We cant solve a problem by ignoring it. I am in fact planning to put my car idle for 15 days and willing to find out the status. A good car's battery should not get drained up to at least 25-30 days. This is the right time to check coz once you come back you will need your car. As far as I know cars belonging to November and later batches are not having this issue. Keep the switch ON and find out else you will always be in doubt (like I was till last week [:)]) and ofcourse share with us after 10 days. Good luck

Re: My Hyundai Grand i10 Asta (O) Petrol Ownership Review

Hello all,

I am a new member on the forum. However, I have been following the forum for quite a few months now ever since I started researching for my first car.

I bought Grand i10 Diesel (Golden Orange) towards end of December. It's been a pleasant experience so far and I hope and pray it stays that way. Like many said on this thread, this car puts a smile on our faces whenever we get in and drive.

For the last 2 days, I am hearing a mute vibration kinda sound somewhere from my right side ( I have a feeling it could be from the right-side ORVM) when car goes over rough, patchy roads. Also, it doesn't happen every time. The sound is very very mild and you won't hear it if you have music and a/c on.

Did anyone else notice this? There are no rattles, thankfully, other than this.

Thanks for your response. Drive safe!!

@srivrs: i am experiencing the same problem. I tried but couldnt find the source of rattling. It comes only while driving over rough patches.

@Maneesh, Will also keep trying to find out the source..

@Vipin, the rear seat head rest is not pulled up. Also, it doesn't quite sound like it's coming from behind. Will keep an eye/ear. :)
Also, have you upgraded your horn to a dual tone, by any chance? If yes, please give me few details (cost, brand, place it is done in Hyd)

Friends,

Also read in other forums that Hyundai has launched extended warranty for Grand. Please check at your respective locations.

Hi guys,
I am new to this thread.

Iam in a big dilemma inbetween Swift-VXI or Grand i10 - Asta
After a big research in this thread & opinion from other people and few test drives have made me to decide for "Grand i10-Asta" which is priced on road Rs 598000/- in chennai.
I like the cool features - but iam having a little confusion in the keyless entry. If suppose my battery drains completely and if it could not able to detect my keyless enrty dongle due to battery outage , How do i enter inside the car manually for a repair??

Grand i10 owners Please help me with your feedbacks.

Regards
RAM

The remote key comes with a metallic key inside it. I dont think you will have to face this battery draining issue but if you have to come across this issue, you can use the metallic key and open the car doors manually. Also, just make sure that the remote key is with you while your car is being jump started, the minute the service guy connects the battery to your car the security alarm kicks in and starts buzzing.

Hey guys, how effective is the Ac of grandi10?

I took a test drive of the car for 50 minutes, although the vents were blowing cool air there was no cooling at all. And the outside temperature must have been 30. And blowee was set to one.

Same thing has been pointed out by one more user. I have sparingly used my Grand's AC and found it adequate but it will be put to the real test in summer as temperature in Hyderabad is not going beyond 32 now a days. Blower set to one is indeed not sufficient if there are more than 2 people inside the cabin.

Yeah after reading that only I asked here. I reported this in my td report as well.

Ac was not required but just to check the cooling it was on. At 30 even at blower at one it should cool enough. Do let us know about the performance.
