Garware in collaboration with Hyosung is planning to launch the 250cc bike in India.The GT250R will be identical to the GT650R.With a high kerb weight of 171kgs and 2060mm long, 655mm wide and 1125mm high and has a fuel tank capacity of 17 litres.The launch is expected to be sooner.

Why would someone like to buy a Hyosung over, say a Ninja/CBR 250 unless the Hyosung is priced (much) cheaper? I agree that some of these Hyosungs have Suzuki engines, but then, as a brand, the Japs are much ahead when it comes to long term hassle free ownership. Even if the Hyosungs are equally good, it would take a long time for this company to establish itself firmly in the bike buying psyche of Indian two wheeled aficionados.

The Hyosung Garware GT 250R is to launch in a couple of months and the booking will start in May'12.The bike is expected to be priced at between 1.7-2 lakhs.
