Re: Hyosung 250R Launch in India (GT 250R Coming on 11 Sep)

DSK has unveiled Hyosung GT250R in New Delhi. It is priced at Rs.2,75,000 (Ex-showroom, Delhi). Here's a quick excerpt from the press release.
Packed with looks, technology and unique features befitting motorcycles of far higher segments, the GT 250R is priced at Rs. 2, 75,000 (Two lakh Seventy Five Thousand Only) (ex-showroom price). The super bike will be available in three colour variants - White & Red, Silver & Red, Red & Black. The 250cc bike is a class apart in its segment with heavy duty fully faired muscular body and is the biggest bike in the 250cc segment. It is also fondly known as “The Big Boy” amongst the superbiking fraternity.

Powered by a V twin-cylinder, oil-cooled 4-stroke engine, GT250R produces 27.6 Bhp of maximum power at 10000 rpm, and 22.07Nm of maximum torque at 8000 rpm. The bike has a top speed of 140 kmph. It has some interesting features like Double Disk Front Brakes, twin projector headlamps, upside down forks, EFI and the adjustable rear seats. It is the only 250cc bike in India with Super Sports riding position. With its looks and the power, it has all the ingredients to thrill and is worth every penny.

Its priced almost at par with the Ninja. I want to interview someone who has paid Rs. 3 lakhs for a GT250R over a Ninja.

I agree with you, it is difficult for anyone to put 3L on a bike and even consider an unknown Korean brand over an established Japanese brand.

Hyosung has launched a revised version of GT250R in India. An excerpt from press release:
This latest offering from the DSK Hyosung stable embodies the elements of advanced futuristic styling, sporty graphics and aggressive design elements like stylish new headlamps among others. Add to this will be the three exciting colour options of Red Titanium, White Titanium and Black Titanium each of which will be available in three tone shade. Powered with a V twin-cylinder and an oil-cooled 4-stroke engine, the New GT250R produces 27.6 Bhp of maximum power at 10000 rpm, and 22.07Nm of maximum torque at 8000 rpm.

Sharing his thoughts on the launch of the superbike Mr. Shirish Kulkarni, Chairman DSK Hyosung said:“Popularly known as ‘The Big Boy’, GT250R has always received an exceptional response from the superbiking community in India. We are very dynamic as an organization and have always adapted ourselves as per the changing customer profile, preferences and purchase decisions. Over the years we have tracked this behavior and incorporated elements of customer feedback in this New GT250 R. I am confident that this exciting avatar will appeal to the new-age speed aficionados who are looking for not only great technology but unmatched aesthetics and sporty looks. This superbike has been attractively priced at Rs.2,76,000 (ex-showroom Pune)”.

This new mean machine will be retailed through all 36 DSK Hyosung brand outlets spread across the country.

Man !! What a Beautiful Bike.Awesome Looks !!.Its for people who want better appearance and that 'A-rare-250cc-bike-on-the-road' feeling on this Bike. Its Definitely not better than the Ninja's well established meaty 250cc Parallel twin Engine. But its still the most affordable V-TWIN Bike in India.I love its Killer looks. Its HUGE !! SO MUCH BIGGER than the others (Baby Ninja,CBR 250).So it was fondly known as 'The Big Boy'.Thank you
