Urgent: Hyundai i20 vs Maruti Swift 2012

hii guys. my cousin called me up and asked me which car to buy , the i20 or the swift.

for the time being i told him to buy the i20 sports petrol which is costing some 6,15,000 since it has all the features one can ask for.

the reason i'm making this thread is to know any factory defects in both the cars.

i have heard of the swift brake failure in traffic and about hyundai i know about the handling and the steering rattle. other than these , are there any other problems in the cars mentioned ?

and what about maintenance ? which one has less maintenance cost ?

he has to decide within 2 days so that's why i added "urgent" to the thread.

In terms of handling Swift is better car but brakes issue not solved yet for sure.

where as new igen i20 claims solved the steering rattle.

Swift has low maintenance compare to i20.

I20 has more cabin as well as boot space.

Swift is more fun to drive conpare to i20.

All maruti cars comes with chilling ac.

As you are saying urgent in the thread does it mean that the delivery date should also be earlier coz if you are booking swift these ppl delays a lot other than that swift is a good option it is fun driving.

Yeah i only told him to buy petrol because he won't drive that much. I just realised festive season is near and there may be some extra discounts available.

Efficiency is not an issue because the car won't even cover 4000km / year and both will give 10-12 in city.

A.s.s of hyundai is good so no problem here.

If the steering rattling issues are sorted out in I20, then i will suggest it for sure as its more roomy than New Swift !!. Some how i did not liked the new Swift

l myself booked an i20 over swift but got some other car.

Back to topic - i talked to him and he said he'll buy within a week. I'm telling him to go for the i20.

so my cousin will opt for maruti suzuki for its realibility

his dad don't want a hyundai.
