Toyota Kirloskar Motor has introduced a new GX+ variant for the Innova Crysta, launched at a base price of Rs 21.39 lakh. Positioned between the GX and VX variants, the GX+ variant gets a host of feature additions over the former.
Toyota Innova Crysta GX+: what’s new?
Over the GX variant, the new Innova Crysta GX+ gets additional features such as rear camera, auto-fold mirrors, dash cam, diamond cut alloy wheels, wooden panels, and premium fabric seats. Toyota says that the new variant is equipped with a total of 14 new features over the lower GX variant. The Innova Crysta GX+ is available in both seven- and eight-seat configurations, priced at Rs 21.39 lakh and Rs 21.44 lakh respectively, which makes it Rs 1.40-1.45 lakh costlier than the GX variant.
Toyota Innova Crysta GX+: powertrain
No changes have been made to the powertrain whatsoever. Toyota offers the Innova Crysta with a sole 2.4-litre diesel engine making 150hp and 343Nm torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard.
Toyota Innova Crysta GX+: pricing and rivals
The Innova Crysta is currently priced from Rs 19.99 lakh, going up to Rs 26.30 lakh, and sits below the relatively newer Innova Hycross in Toyota’s lineup. While the MPV does not have a direct rival in India, it does face competition from Kia Carens, and Mahindra Marazzo.
