Tata Motors has associated with the world-renowned fashion designer, Rajesh Pratap for Tata Manza. Rajesh Pratap will partner with Tata Motors’ styling team which operates from its state-of-the-art styling studio, at the Pune facility. He will be helping the team to further enhance the design and stylise the interiors and exteriors of the Tata Manza. Rajesh Pratap’s attempt in the Tata Manza design project is to achieve an equilibrium between handmade and high-tech, where one enhances the other, providing real solutions, a pure aesthetic. Tata Motors will be developing 1,000 Tata Manzas (a limited edition range), incorporating design inputs from Rajesh. According to Mr. Rajesh Pratap Singh, “It has been a pleasure and an honour for me to be associated with the Tata Group, a proud Indian brand with values that inspire everyone in the industry. Tata Motors have an exceptional and dynamic young team that is going to change the way India drives. I am truly excited to be involved with this project.”

In February 2011, Tata Motors introduced the newly refined Tata Manza series. The Tata Manza has been given a fresh new look with refined premium dual tone interiors & fabric seats and exterior make over, delivering class apart driving experience in the sedan market. At Tata Motors, product development and upgradation is a constant endeavour. Rajesh Pratap’s rich experience in the fashion industry and thorough knowledge about design aesthetics, will further help Tata Motors in enhancing the Tata Manza’s design. Tata Motors has associated with the Wills India Fashion Week and Rajesh Pratap Singh has designed an exclusive theme-based collection, which will be showcased at the Wills India Fashion Week. The collection theme is inspired by a road trip which Rajesh undertook in the villages of Orissa. Focusing on Ikat and handloom textile weaves, some of the experiments are part of this collection. The show attempts to initiate a dialogue and thought process on what is the relevance of handloom in the country. The theme of Rajesh’s collection will also be integrated on two specially accessorized Tata Manzas, which will be the show-stopper, on October 8, 2011 at the Wills India Fashion Week.

Any day Manza is best looking sedan for the price .Agreed Tata messed up with boot.
The boot looks like an extra baggage ..like a hunchback. maybe Tata was trying play safe with space than with looks as we Indian prefer quantity more than quality.

but little bit of tweaks will make it look osum.!!

They should have removed the Indigo badge long time back and clearly advertised that Manza is not the same as Indigo. They have done it recently but has pushed many customers to go for other brands just because of the taxi image.

In my opinion, they should have only 3 variants:

1. Base model with little features, price = 5.5 lacs ex-showroom (diesel)

2. Mid-variant with ABS, 2 Airbags, 2-DIN Bluetooth Audio and few goodies, price = 7 lacs ex-showroom (diesel)

3. Top-variant: Fully loaded with 6 Airbags, ABS with EBD, All disc brakes, ACC, Cruise Control, Reverse Parking Camera/Sensors and some more goodies, price = 9 lacs ex-showroom (diesel)

It will surely give all the existing sedans from other brands, a very good competition.

A longer tail-light should do the trick, maybe they can have some light on the door of the boot too, will give better look.
