Suggest a bike.

Its time to buy a bike for my dad. All he needs is the comfort. Need your sugestions in these. Mileage is not a huge factor. He'll be riding mostly in city and not more than 20kms a day. Budget is not more than 70K.

Since its for your dad, i wont suggest a CBZ.

look for a honda unicorn instead. he will want an upright seating position, refined engine & comfortable suspension more than sporty seating, brawny engine & great handling.

Buddy if you are going for a HONDA, keep in mind the looooooong waiting periods!! And yes, Activa is a good scooter for mostly all age groups and both the genders!
I have booked a HONDA ACTIVA DLX, on 17th feb 2010, its more than 5 MONTHS now, yet no hope of getting it, even in next TWO MONTHS!!!

I'd like to suggest the Mahindra Duro as a substitute for the Activa. The waiting period is comparatively lesser and falls roughly into the same price bracket. Now, the Duro is a re-badged Kinetic Nova. The Nova was known for its responsive engine and nice seating position. Since the above are your exact criteria, you can go for the Duro.

If you ever consider a scooter, Just blindly go for the Dio.

if its for your dad, i would recommend the activa over the dio. the dio is for youths & seating in the dio is not as comfortable as the activa.

the dio has an inclined footboard compared to activa. also, rear passengers will curse you in a dio!

If you want a comfy bike then go for Honda Unicorn or Shine. If hes keen on goingfor a scooter then you may consider Honda Aviator or Activa. Even Mahindra Duro is a good scooter.

+1. Actually Wego is a good scooter and is doing quite well in the market. Also you may check out Suzuki Access 125 which has good power though i cant comment on the comfort part.

yes, i have heard good reviews about the TVS wego.

from the mahindra stable, look for the rodeo or flyte rather than the duro, the duro is a very old design.
