If it is still 145 tyres, please change to 155 or 165 and the car's nervousness will go, especially in patched stretches. Car will handle and brake better.
True. My Alto performing well in 155 section Michelin. I would definitely put 165 next time, last time tire guy told the sidewall will touch to body. but I saw cars with 165 and not any one of them touching to body. Go for it.

1000kms in 24hrs - Yes, you read it right.

Time for an update on Saturday I went to Hatti, a small mining town near Raichur. We were only 2 of us and I was the only driver. What started as a 7hr one way journey ended up becoming a 24hr marathon.

Started from Bangalore
Drove through the below towns before reaching destination.
Tumkur >> Sira >>Hiriyur >>Chitradurga >>Challakere >> Bellary >>Lingusur >> Hatti

The weather was super chill and cloudy for the first 300kms, in fact never switched on AC till we hit Chitradurga. Post that roads werent great till Challakere. The road between Challakere and Bellary is like a dream road with vast open barren lands on both sides and a 2way road on which you find very few dhabas and ofcourse you can do 100 - 130ish easily.

The first 300kms was a breeze, by the time I reached Bellary I had a few cramps here and there. The roads in & around bellary are like worst amongst all the roads that I travelled. We also ended up missing route and approached a bridge near Tungabadra river, before realising our mistake - it costed us 35kms (to & fro) to make the correction. Overall the dream of driving 1000kms in a day is finally met.

Started @ 5am Saturday from Bangalore
Returned @ 4.45am on Sunday morning.
Took rest @ destination for 3hours (food, talk, watching tv - no sleeping)
I deliberately parked the car at a Dhabha on Bellary road on our way back as I was feeling drowsy and makes no sense to take risk with my life or others. 1hour power nap made a huge difference and made the journey possible.

I never expected Estilo to be this good on highway, the tyres (145 section) & the stock headlamps were the only let down. Overall 4500/- fuel - thats about 65ltrs & a decent mileage of 16.xxkmpl. Despite driving with no regard for mileage & AC on for close to 50% of the distance.

Let the pictures do the talking.

When I had bought the car, the oil was changed by the dealer but the oil filter wasnt hence got a tool that makes oil filter change a 2mins job. I also smeared the O ring on the filter with oil before fitting it back.

After reading your nano ordeal, good that you went with tried and tested brand. MASS is everywhere and you will get parts anywhere. Hope you crunch many more miles in the new zen.

Returning after almost a month to my thread, with a tiny DIY update.
I felt the blower smelled a bit and cant use fan felt weird without ac.
With ac everything felt good, so decided to dig a bit under the dashboard and here is what I found.

This is how the blower looked when i removed, dint feel that dirty to be honest. Once I started rinsing it and then brushing the fins, check the water condition below![surprise]
dirt water blower.jpg

This is now90% clean, although the squirrel cage fan is made of plastic the edges are pretty sharp.

Also sprayed Colin+ water directly into the ac vents, the entire stuff drips off near the fan or centre console. Removed the centre console and cleaned the reachable plumbing area.
Now no smell and only blower too can be used.

PS: Ac works, but these rainy days blower is more used than ac hence had to do this

Completed about 3700kms now,
The gear lever bush was too worn out,
changed it as a DIY, only after opening the whole thing I realised the bottom ball in the rod itself was worn a little bit. Hence the DIY is kind of failure.
Will have to get the rod and entire kit changed in a few months.

This happened today morning at Chennai:

Faced starting trouble in my Estilo this morning.

Car was started fine in cold start without any issues , after parked for sometime outside the gate, the car refused to start but cranking fine.

Immobilizer light was ON. tried my level best(removed and connected battery for 5 times/locked&unlocked N num of times) to make it start but failed.

Thank God, Vista was there at the time with Estilo, so parents started to Vellore from Chennai in Vista. we parked the Estilo by pushing inside the gate.

Local mech checked Estilo and confirmed the issue is with Key and asked to check with spare key.

will check with spare key once it reached to Chennai from Vellore by tomorrow.
