Hello friends!

I am looking to buy new tires for my car Hyundai Verna. Visited few tire shops and a shop near to my home recommended to go with Bridgestone 185 / 65 / R14. He quoted Rs 3700 + Free wheel alignment and fitting the wheels. He says tires will last for 40k kms. Please guide me to get best tires for my car.

Thank you!

Which Bridgestone, is it Potenza GIII?

I would suggest go for Michelin if budget is not a constraint, otherwise, Yoko A-Drive and Apollo Accelere are aslo very good VFM tyres.

Yes Maxxis are also good but only if you are looking for performance tyre, for normal drivers A-Drive or Accelere are decent ones.

Hello Ragha if its Potenza GIII go ahead with it! Please don switch over to B250 again! These are the worst tyres in wet conditions!

Michelin is good but i heard it wears off a little sooner. Apollo Acceleres are also really good! Michelin , Yoko , Apollo , Bridgestone all are good tyres , go for the one which appeals to you!

Hi Ragha,few months ago,i was given a quote of Rs.3,300 for 185/65/R 14 Yokohama tyre and Rs.3,600 for 195/60/R 14.
Depending onyour budget, you can go for best ones like Michelin,Bridgestone Potenza or Yokohama.

the other good tyres you could try are
1. Yoko AD-07
2. Hankook Ventus RS-2
3. Michelin PP2
4. Maxxis Victra MA-Z1

Maxxis costs around 4150 for 15" while acceleres costs 100 bucks more. :-)

Enquired pricing for Yoko A-drive. They are quoting Rs 3750 is this good price? And also for alloys set of 5 Rs 17,500.

They have also offered to pay Rs 1000 for existing tires and rims another Rs 1000.

Let me know if this i a good deal.

Yoko A Drive's for 3750 seems a bit pricey, i thought they were around 3k-3.2k at most, [anger]
