New Season of Mahindra Auto Quotient Show

The Mahindra Auto Quotient show is a first of its kind, pan-India auto quiz. The initiative is Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd’s endeavor to promote young automotive talent in India. Earlier this year, it won ‘The Best Game Show/Quiz Show’ at the 2010 Indian Television Academy Awards. This year the Mahindra AQ will be aired on India’s leading English news channel, NDTV 24x7. The 1st edition of the quiz was held in 2009 received an enthusiastic response from engineering students all over the country with over 7500 registrations. This year we had an overwhelming 15,000 registrations. Like last year, most applicants hailed from the country’s leading engineering colleges. But this year we also went scouting at prestigious B-Schools around the country. The various stages Mahindra Auto Quotient involved passing a preliminary written test, followed by a live round quizzing and then the winners from each city were shortlisted for the ‘Regional Finals’. Renowned auto journalist, Siddharth Vinayak Patankar, Editor-Auto and Senior Anchor at NDTV hosted the ‘Regional Finals’ and the ‘Grand Finale’ this year.

The 2010 Mahindra Auto Quotient (AQ) had 5 teams competing in each of the Zonal (North-South-East-West) rounds. Of these 4 teams were students from engineering colleges while the fifth was representing a B-school in the zone. One winner from each zonal round was selected to go on to the ‘Grand Finale’.

The Prizes:

• The Winners will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the ‘Geneva International Auto show’! (The largest auto show in the world)

• The 1st runner-up team will win a chance to go ‘Dune Bashing’ in Dubai!

• The 2nd and 3rd runners-up will participate in the ‘Mahindra Great Escape’!

This year we have big prizes for the TV audience as well. Starting 19th December 2010, NDTV viewers can compete for the Grand TV Audience Prize- A trip to the Seoul International Motor Show. Weekly prizes will include a chance to experience the off-road adventures at the Mahindra Great Escape and limited edition AQ merchandise.

The fourth season of Mahindra Auto Quotient is now airing on NDTV 24x7. The winner of the grand finale will receive an all-expense paid trip to ‘Geneva Auto Show’. The first runner up team will get an all-expense paid trip to Quatar MotoGP and chance to meet Mahindra Racing Team. While the second and third runner ups get a chance to participate in ‘Mahindra Great Escape’ off road event. Participants also stand a chance to win prizes worth Rs 6,50,000 and an opportunity to work with M&M Limited.
