While fitting the steering grip the person who was doing the work, unintentionally switched on the rear wiper. Since there was no ignition the rear wiper dint operate. Finally came back to driver sit and suddenly pushed the wiper stalk towards dashboard. Pheew the rear wiper stopped. After that went home straight and read the manual for the rear wiper opeartion [lol]

Hi D.J.D please post pics of your car seat covers. Did you opt for PU or did you go for fabric covers. How much did they cost?

hi venkat, i have only ordered for the seat covers. The shop owner says it will take 2 - 3 days. I have opted for PU in black & grey color. Initially i was thinking of beige with some dark color. But when i checked the beige colored seat covers with my car interior it was looked like out of place. I paid Rs.8900/-

Today my cute devil “Argento” crossed 1k km mark in the odo. I really enjoyed this 1k km with “Argento”. Specially the attention we get wherever we go. Now let me share my feelings/experience with my cute devil during this 1k km:

1. This car is more comfortable on highway compared to crowded city area.

2. Increase the vehicle speed and ride quality gets smoother and smoother.

3. At idle one can feel the constant humming of the diesel motor. On the go no issue. The motor gets smooth.

4. Even though the car is smaller than my earlier car Manza, my rear seat occupants say “this car is more comfortable than Manza”. Yah it is surprising.

5. I am loving the light sensing dashboard illumination.

6. Fuel efficiency of the TDCI motor is simply superb. I am continuously getting 20.xx kmpl.

7. For a diesel car clutch is surprisingly light.

8. At idle condition if the clutch is depressed fully, the engine vibration can be felt.

9. Fit and finish in some areas is below average. I cannot say confidently that the interior will not rattle after 10k kms.

10. Even though this car is 100 kg heavier than my earlier car Manza, while driving it feels lighter than the Manza.

11. Dynamics of this car is superb. I really don’t understand how did some people manage to topple this car?

12. In spite of higher GC this car can change direction really quick.

Wow then let me too join you by doing [clap]. Wow if this kind of mileage you can get from a ES then ford must be commended . Is Vicky too getting the same kind of mileage ? This mileage was on highway only ? Or city plus highway ?

this milage is from my daily office run, weekend city run plus lil bit of highway run [:D]

Which areas in particular are you referring to when you say that the fit and finish of some areas is below average?

Does your car have any rattles/squeaks?

if you see the bottom portion of dashboard specially right side of driver and left side of front passenger, you can see 2 loosely fitted plastic panels. But these panels are very very soft. Also plastic cladding (interior) along the door bidding is not properly fitted. You can notice some rough edges. Also the area where dashboard panel meets the A pillar is not properly fitted.

So far no squeaks / rattles from my car [:)]

the FE figures you are getting is superb man, [clap] commendable what ford managed to give with this engine.
Yes i agree many people have said that few places specially plastics where one feels to have better qualtiy then offered by ford, but when you drive, its all worth it.
