Abarth has unveiled the spicy Punto Supersport.

Fiat's aftermarket arm Abarth has released the first photos of their Punto Supersport, the most powerful version of the model ever built. The hot hatch packs quite a punch for a Fiat and adds to Abarth's reputation of producing cool little cars you would like to own.

Abarth has added a modified exhaust with centrally-mounted pipes and a Garrett turbocharger to boost the Punto's 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo up to 180hp. The Punto Supersport sprints to 62mph from rest in 7.5 seconds and can reach a top speed of 134mph.[clap]

A high-performance braking system has been affixed to handle the added power. The aftermarket specialists have also added new shocks, leather sport seats and steering wheel, aluminum pedals and automatic climate control, amongst other touches here and there. The ride height has been lowered and it sits on a set of lightweight 17-inch alloy wheels. The Abarth Fiat Punto Supersport will be produced in a limited run of only 199 units and pricing starts at €21,900. Orders are now being taken by the Italians, so if you have a desire for a quick little Fiat hatch, you'd better act fast.

Beautiful. Can't express my excitment. PUNTO looks are super S-E-X-Y. Both black and Grey cars look very beautiful. And Consider the power of 180 BHP. Just tap on accelerator and booooooommm you go. I wish That atleast once in my life I get to drive one of this. [clap]

Since this model getting a limited run of just 199 unit's they should have opened the order book's for Indian customer's as well, this would have been a good brand building exercise.

no need to spend 15 lacs
get a normal car may be used
get an aftermarket ECU , tune it , add injectors , change spark plugs ,install a turbo on aftermarket extractors and put a front mount intercooler.
you may need to change the heavy duty crank and see if the pistons are ready to take extra compression and then see the output . will be better than abarth ;)

Out of those 199 if by mistake one comes to India then the poor owner is going to cry blood tears for the maintenance of the car and all.

Instead my pick will be a Punto with just a T-Jet engine at the price of a Polo 1.6.

Why T-Jet?Because I know what turbo petrols are. They seem to be flying in front of N/A petrols and turbo diesels.

I feel you man

This is what happened when we Imported a Chaser from japan, only 24 of them are here and parts are not available.
We had to import a Timing belt from japan , its cost was 400 dollars and took about a week to come.

Fiat being euro , its gona cost heaps not just parts but the shipment too..
