Hello everyone,

This is my first post on TAI. Booked Alpha Petrol (Granite Grey) on 1st Nov and will get delivery on 1st January. This is my first car purchase so any suggestions for Accessories, leather seats, undercoating etc?
Seat covers (art leather), carpet lamination, boot mat, floor mats, mudflaps, car perfume, GPS navigation, gear lock, paint sealant, underbody antirust coating, illuminated scuff plates, door beading and PPF are some suggested things for your new car. You can let us know your preferred requirements to get better suggestions.

Seat covers, floor mats, mud flaps, perfume, gear lock, door beading and underbody antirust is a must. Prices would be around 6000, 1500, 1000, 500, 2500, 2000 and 3500 bucks respectively at dealership while you will get much lower rates at aftermarket shops.

I don't find the sheet metal to be very thin.Definitely it's not upto level of European cars.Since Baleno is a global car, produced in India,I don't think safety would be compromised.Crash tests will be out once exports start early next year. Also there are crumple zones in Baleno in like my Sx4.I had met with very bad accident in SX4 and Airbags plus crumple zones saved my life
Though I'm late to the party(this thread being a few days old) congratulations, nkonamme!
I like your choice of color and it goes well with the car. I wanted to get silver but my wife is keen on Granite grey or Ray blue. I have a question related bro the engine bay. Is it possible to get some sort of underbody protection for the engine? Going by one of the pics, looks like like the bottom part of the engine is left open. I'm living in Chennai and it's been raining incessantly and worried about how much of water can the baleno wade through. Any thoughts? I currently own a Wagon R and I've been lucky not to get stuck in the inundated roads so far.

How are the brakes? Swifts are known to have inadequate brakes.
Brakes are adequate in Baleno. I can say it's same as my SX4.My Grand I10 has very sensitive and powerful brakes which becomes annoying at times.

I agree there is no under cover for engine. But engine is set high and I think it wouldn't cause any problems or prone to damage
Cheers

Thanks for the reply, nkonamme.
How do you find the length of the arm rest? Can we remove it to replace it with a better third party arm rest? I'm wondering if I should go for the delta variant and use the saved money for better alloys, seat covers, better arm rest and dead pedal. I'm considering the cvt version as well because my wagon r clutch is pretty hard and want some relief. Do you find the clutch to be hard compared to any other petrol vehicle?

Thanks.[:)] I will consider seat covers, floor mats, perfume, underbody antirust. Audio video navigation is already there in Alpha variant so i just want to add MUST HAVE accessories.

Should I ask Nexa dealer for these?

Overall any other suggestion for a newbie?

I have taken from 3M showroom Pune not from Nexa delear. Instead of taking from delear prefer to buy from outside. You will get it at very good price also lots of variety and different brands. Here delear is offering pkg for accessories which include mat, 2.pillow, perfume , mobile charger for 6070 rs

No, 3M and similar outlets do a much better job than MASS. Their professional approach and transparent work environment (they often let you supervise the work being done) is a big plus when compared to MASS.

As a newbie, you should insist on doing a PDI (Pre delivery inspection) of the car. Check for proper functioning of every single thing in the car and then give a go ahead. You might want to take a car expert with you (not necessarily expert, but one with experience of owning cars) for the PDI. You should also get the tyre pressures checked after delivery as they are often over-inflated during transit.

Arm rest is fixed and helpful only while cruising without traffic. So it not very much helpful and a sliding arm rest would have been better. Clutch is light and easy

Re: Maruti Suzuki Baleno 2015 Zeta (Petrol): AndroidAuto / MirrorLink Support

Hi All,

This is my first post and I'm very happy to share that, I have booked Baleno Alpha Petrol on 28th of October in Bangalore Bimal NEXA ORR.

This is my first car as well. I booked Alpha hoping that Android Auto will be supported soon. It has a MirrorLink support, which is alternate to Android Auto, but my Mobile doesn't support :(

Anybody has any idea when the Android Auto will be supported in Baleno's infotainment System. I hope majority in India uses Android Phones, so Android Auto support makes great sense to connect the Mobile in the Infotainment System.

Anyone having any idea at what RPM does baleno(petrol) hover when its speed is 100kph in 4th gear and 5th gear ?
Swift vxi does 80kph in 5th gear at 2000rpm,
Any idea about baleno RPM vs Speed in 5th and 4th gear?
it was heard that it's not necessary to shift gear below 2nd even in stop and go traffic in baleno petrol ? Indeed ?
i think baleno have short initial gears and long higher gear ratio in comparison to swift.

Hi guys,

I have booked baleno Alpha 1.2 rayblue color on launch day itself. It's now 20 days and i haven't got a clue when i will get the vehicle[confused]. I called salesrep asking about the same and he replied that they are not getting rayblue vehicles as they are most in demand and most of the vehicles coming in from factory are diesel variants.
Does it takes this much time for allotment of vehicle which was booked within an hour of its launch ?
I have booked the car from FairDeal Cars Nexa in Delhi.

Thanks
