Tata Motors has suddenly released the BS-4 compliant version of dated Indica V2, named as Turbomax which gets a 1,405cc turbo-intercooled diesel engine and is capable to produce max. torque of 135Nm@2,500rpm. Although there are not any changes on the styling of car but this move by Tata may put many minds into question and also proves the theory that old models in India never die!

Great option for cab operators to replace their old cars with new ones at a cheaper price.

But seriously i don think other than cab drivers nobody will prefer this car especially knowing TATA'S poor reliability!

Really good news for cabbies.

But TATA come out of box & think in a wider way, world is going some where & Indian manufacturers are still lagging way behind.

Please improve the reliablity factor which will make TATA as best company in India

So the Indica is still not dead. The car that helped Tata to enter the numbers game is back to rescue it. But still this turbo variant would be expensive than the cab version.

Couple of weeks back, i spotted a Indica Xeta testing near Coimbatore. So i guess, petrol version will also follow shortly.

any details of the price bracket this indica would get launched, still wonder when tata is already offering its TDi version in new vista why to still retain old models, may be they might phase out tdi and offer only quadrajet engines in vista and so this V2 would do the job for cheaper version of tata for taxi segments.

a rather not any good move by TATA to dig up old car again because even taxi operators are upgrading their cars. so may be indica V2 can not do that good like before it did in TAXI segment.
