Verna I20 and I10 are the most selling models of Hyundai.
Like Nick said I have seen only two or three elantras and till date havent seen sonata on road

so today i was refuelling and a guy from the scorpio behind me comes and asks about the verna i told him its good comfy and has a good pick up, he then asked so in these few months you found any issues? i said no dude its almost 2 years old and that look on his face was killer, he then said maybe you dont use it much i said the car clocked around 23,000km again that look on his face when i told him its a petrol, he just replied so much usage and still petrol why? my answer- cause i can afford petrol costs and love petrol engines. I dint wanna waste time and tell him the issues so i just told him of the bumper and suspensions and moved of.

Re: Hyundai Fluidic Verna VTVT SX(O) 1 Year and 16,000 Kms

the bluetooth on my headunit is acting up. If i pair a phone it works, but then if i leave the car for an hour or more and come back it does not pair automatically and if i select the phone from the list it shows pairing failed, if i select the pair option it shows pairing over without doing anything. Happens with all phones and i cant delete any phones form my list.
A bit annoyed i decided ill pull out the fuse near the drivers side and reset it. And then i checked the software version.
the version is older then what the internation version gets. The firmware however is the same.

currently after pulling the fuse out its pairing again but lets see if it stays that way or else i will have to take the car to the service centre. Will get the 4th service done as well 23200 km on the odo.

Hi nick,
bad luck today!!. was going at 40kmph at night suddenly heard a loud "thud" noise. stopped the car and got out to see what had happend. when i opened the door i noticed that the engine sound had increased several folds. was horrified to see the gaurd of left front wheel broken and lying on the road .
then i found out that my car had fallen into and came out of a ditch 6 feet wide and 2 feet deep[frustration]. " in the middle of the road!!!!. couldnt find out the cause for increased engine noise!!!.

Next day our security broke the car antenna while cleaning it and he is telling me " please adjust"[frustration]. cursed him in all posibble languages ,took the car to service station and the mechanic told me that my air intake pipe to the engine was detached and the there was a crack in the air intake "box" near the front wheel!!!!!!![confused]. he reattached it and charged 500rs to replace the gaurd. the noise is not there now. he told that the air intake "box" should be changed as early as possible. what to do?
is it urgent that i have to change it?. have attached a few pics

The story you told is really horrifying but i think if you can then you should, but if you can't get it changed, then you can use some tape or anything to keep in the place and avoid any leakage if there is, there won't be any major problem though.

First things first -

It is really important to change it at any cost, modifications can help you for the time being, but it will cost you a lot if key components are damaged because of the modification and also you might loose your warranty.

Check if the damage is caused in the air intake tube before it reaches the air filter or after it exits the airfilter.

If the air intake tube is damaged after it exits the airfilter, its is dead critical to change it. It can damage your engine.

Go to authorised hyundai service centre.

Really sad to hear about the damage.

take care.

Re: Hyundai Fluidic Verna VTVT SX(O) 1 Year and 16,000 Kms

Hey guys !!!

Got my 1.6 CRDI Sx baby yesterday :-) Its such a beauty can't take my eyes off her :-))
Driving pleasure , features etc. feel awesome.. feel like a king inside the car.

Although while driving i generally felt the gear shift is little hard. Is it normal ?
Specifically I am facing problem while shifting to 1st gear, its very hard to get there.[frustration]
But when press the button beneath gear knob and then shift to 1st gear..then its like buttery smooth. Is it the way we need to do(I mean pressing button and then move the gear stick)? [roll]

Please pardon me for ignorance..silly me [clown]

congrats for your car.
yeah many members including me faced hard gear shifts. on your first service report this and get it fixed and overtime it will become smooth.

and no , press the button only to engage in reverse gear. from coming from reverse to first don't use the button.
