How To Connect iPhone To Car's iPod Input?

I have got myself a iphone 4, well I actually won it at the casino and I want to connect it to the cars ipod input or whatever its called. I tried putting the usb cable into the usb port but the car didn't recognize it and said usb file error.
I can connect the phone into the aux input and it works fine but then I have to keep reaching for the phone to change songs etc.

Anyone have any idea??

Also when the iphone is connected to the cars ipod connection does it charge the phone?

congrats dude. you need aftermarket iphone car adapter or connector if your car doesnt got it!

ZAL not sure if your car is ipod Ready

I plugged my ipod (80gb) into my mate's honda and you can actually use the default car dash dials to change songs/albums . this is because that car has compatible hardware

You can buy that Radio transmitter for about 10-11 dollars from ebay does the job. but sound quality won't be any good
