Viru, I tried this toothpaste method, but unfortunately I didn't got a better result. I found an easiest way.[;)]. just went to the near by car polishing guy and told him to rub and polish my right headlight (fiber glass) which has a faded outside glass due to the sunlight. he sprayed some soap water/shampoo to the headlight and rubbed it with sand paper .After drying, he used some wax or polish and done polishing with machine. Within in 5 minutes it looked like new and also I showed him some scratches on the corners of car. he removed that also and at last I paid him just 100 rs. I think I saved a minimum 5K rs as I was thinking of replacing that H/l and painting.

Yes, to be honest even I've only found a moderate difference with toothpaste. What you got done is very similar to the second video, which is a much better method! Good savings too!

IMO, why not upgrade the fog lamps from H8 35W to H11 55W?

Philips H11

It needs a slight modification. Look at the image below:

H8 to H11 Mod

I have ordered these bulbs for my Swift and awaiting delivery so that I can go ahead with the installation.
55w halogens in place of 35w would fry the reflectors of foglamps pretty soon, as foglamp design and size doesn't cause enough heat dissipation. It is better to go for HIDs in foglamps.

I would say, cancel your order and get some 4300k HIDs installed.

IIRC it wouldn't as I have couple of friends who have these on their Swift and nothing is wrong since an year.

Also I don't use the fog lamps during my daily night drive but use it only on the foggy morning here in Hyderabad that I am experiencing lately.

Okay. Do remember to post before and after pics also. It would be great if you post the costs involved also.

Off Topic : If I am not wrong, you are Team BHP wala Anurag (a4anurag?). [;)] Welcome to TAI.
