General Motors To Enter Mini-SUV Bandwagon

GM has jumped in the foray of mini SUV in India.With Ford, Maruti and Premier developing their Mini SUV,GM sees a opportunity to do a small sports utility vehicle.According to the Financial Chronicle newspaper in conversation Paddock, GM India’s president and managing director to FC, their interest to build one.GM showcased a mini SUV under the Buick brand named “Encore” in the US.

Looks promising. I think in a few more years these Mini SUV'S are going to blow away the sedans costing 10Lakhs.

+1. At a cost lesser than 10lacs, these SUVs will definitely hit the sales of the sedan which lack the ability to crunch potholed roads. I personally prefer SUVs over sedan for the sole reason that they can be taken to any kind of road.

Mini suv's will be always hit, Indians generally have big families and suv is perfect vehicle over sedan to do long trip, also mini suv's can be used as daily car.

Looks perfect for Indian market, only if GM guy's manage to put this car between 8-10L bracket then it will definitely give some stiff competition to other manufacturer's in this price range SUV segment.
