Seats seems to be more inclined in 2 nd row, and thats good news. And if those are adjustable then it would be really great.

If ford brings old ecosport as ecosport classic then it would be cheaper or equivalent to the pricing of figo as both shares same platform

apart from that ford should rethink about its warranty policy as Chevy offers 3 yrs and renault offers 2+2yrs or 80,000 kms warranty

Yes they do have recline feature in rear seats [clap]

Seems ES has already come to the yard of some dealers in Mumbai , iam sure the launch will be very soon .

I am really tired of waiting. How long will the American car maker test this car[roll]?

I just hope the pricing doesnt startle us (in negative way) and kill all the joy when it gets launched.

That's my biggest worry at this point. It's very difficult to change the whole plan at the last minute. [evil]

wow ! Thats a nice catch. So it seems the launch is very near as the car has started reaching many dealers also now. Will go and check with a friend tomorrow at Ford's Chandigarh dealer also. Somebody said the launch could be as early as the 8th of feb. Fingers crossed![:)]

Just received a email from a Ford dealer here and he has sent me a file (which he showed to me while I visited dealership some time back and I did request the copy)

Posting it here, View attachment Ford Eco Sport 2013.pdf I have not gone through it in details as I am at work [evil]
Hope it has more useful info for us.

@Indian: Did go through the pdf file, but I am concerned how genuine all this information is....I am so much happy to read that they have mentioned Three variants: !ltr Ecoboost 5speed Manual Transmission, 1Ltr Ecoboost 6 speed Powershift transmission and the 90BHP TDCI engine.

Now if this information is true and the Ecosport comes in 1ltr 6speed Auto trany, I will be the first customer to book it in my city Belgaum. I have been desperately waiting for this beautiful and efficient combination.

@Indian, I request you to please confirm this Ecoboost Auto variant for me, I would be very much thankful to you [clap]

Now in Brazil some one is kicking some butt...[clap]

Also note that Ecosport is smaller and more pricier that Duster in Brazil.

I feel there is a good chance that AT will be available for ecoboost engine.

@Indian: This sounds very exciting, thank you so much for your efforts in confirming this with your dealer So India will be the first market to get the Ecoboost engine mated to the 6 speed power-shift transmission if Ford happens to offer it![clap] Our Ford Dealer in Belgaum has no info at all though, lets see what Ford has in store for us! Going by the excise duty rule it doesn't make any sense for Ford to launch the 1.5 liter power-shift mill from the fiesta, it won't get any duty cuts. So there is a high probability that Ford might offer the Ecoboost 6speed AT and even their website says that there will be an AT option available as well, just they haven't mentioned if its the Ecoboost engine or the 1.5litr one!
