We own a Ford Fiesta Classic Diesel 2011 make. The car has gone for 4 services till date. First two were free services and was not charged anything for them. The 3rd one which happened to be on completion of 1st year costed Rs.2200
4th one after 6 months costed Rs 3500 which included some repairs too.
In all,spent just 6k for servicing in a span of 2 years. What more could you ask for.
Service interval for Ford Fiesta Classic is every 6months.

So if we are hearing that there is heavy localisation of parts for Ecosport, I'm sure the service costs would be surely lower than its competitors.

Wow that's one more good news! These kind of things can save lot of money. I remember when my ORVM got smashed by a motorcycle only the mirror got chipped off. When I went to maruti dealer who said whole assembly had to be replaced(2.5K) and on top of that the ORVM to be painted (2K)...Yes I got it then replaced by aftermarket mirror for about 500rs! Thank you.

Nice info GM88!, You make me feel good now. That was one of the decider for me. I know we can not expect Maruti service costs but if its in par with others I think thats very good. Hope Ford's 'localization' would bring down the costs and a better customer satisfaction. Word of the mouth is very important and it can hit any company good or bad. Generally people have the habit of posting or taking bad only when something wrong happens not when one is happy with the going! Thanks for the valuable feedback [clap]

In fact to be honest, in today's scenario every manufacturer is ripping off in the name of service charges. Those were older days when Maruti servicing was cheap or for that matter Tata's was also considered low.

My younger cousin got his Swift Vdi 2010 serviced recently(40000kms) and the service cost was 8.4k without any repairs included in that. My uncle has a Tata Manza diesel 2010 done 70000kms. His last service costed 13.5k. I dont know what all was included but these bills do look astonishingly high considering they come from Maruti and Tata stable(common perception of low maintenance).
Another cousin's Punto diesel 2011 make,one year completion service costed 8k in Dec 2012. These are all cars which i have some knowledge about as these are all within the family.

I drive a VW Polo Tdi myself which is yet to go for its 1st service and i'm sure my bill would be somewhere close to 9-10k for that,but considering its on an interval of 1 year/15000kms it comes down same to others having at an interval of every 6months and charging 4-5k per service.

Its been astonishingly low service costs for the Ford for us. They have done some remarkable improvement in that department. If they are able to do the same for Ecosport, i'm sure the word of mouth from the initial customers will do a world of good for Ecosport as well as Ford's image in India.

Well check this video and you will see the space management of ES .

I think it might delight you as it seems the ES is more flexible and spacious as per shown in the video then your current ride swift .

Thanks Raja for the video, check out at 05:00 on the video you posted. The back seat almost 360 degree rotated? OMG, if so that is a killer feature. I dont think the 'Magic Seats' on Jazz has this feature!
Hope they keep it for our ES.

I don't think it can be 360* rotated , but it seems ford has managed the space very creatively .

Raja, what I mentioned is 360 degree in horizontal axis, not vertical. Seat completely flips and you would get almost full height of the rear cabin for storage!
