Engine Oil Change Question

Hello guys, i own a Celerio AMT. Its manual recommends 0W20 oil. So i plan to put full synthetic engine oil after 10000 km or 3rd servicing. After asking about 0W20 oil, the SA told we use 5W30 for petrol cars, synthetic or mineral is your choice. . I saw a mechanic in the Maruti workshop pouring 5W30 part synthetic oil by Castrol in a Alto k10.

What should i do? Any suggestions?

Ok, i better buy 0W20 full synthetic oil and get the engine oil changed elsewhere instead of getting it in the service center. 0W20 or 5W30 doesn't matter much, what matters is, it sould give me reliable performance.

What is the recommended engine oil to use outside A.S.S ?
And where in Chennai can he buy ?

Now modern cars recommend engine oil change at 10K, this is especially for diesel. When the car is new, it is okay to keep the interval at 10K, but I think once it cross 1.5 lakh, it's good to keep the interval between 5-8K.
