Great job Sreejesh.The final outcome looks just like its a new one that no one will realize that the dashboard was reconditioned.

Great DIY there and I just love that sand paint job - just imagine a garage with this MM540 and a Desert Storm[:D]!

Could you please share total cost of repairing the dash and the time taken?

Fantastic work Sreejesh, Your work is still holding good after ONE LONG YEAR! This is the proof of your passion. Most of the time DIY's look great in the beginning and later they either fail or get neglected. Your DIY work is amazing even after a year!

Do we get those items in Bangalore? If yes, please share the cost and address etc

I bought them from bangalore only. The address is Swathy Chemicals, Shop no.4, 2nd Cross, Ramamurthy Complex, K Kamaraj Road, Bangalore.

Material prices were like given below.

  • Resin (1 Ltr) - Rs.145
  • Glass mat (0.4 Kg) - Rs.46
  • Accelerator (100 ml)- Rs.35
  • Catalyst/Hardener (100 ml)- Rs.35

Thanks a lot for the info. Can this thing be used to make small car interior parts like extensions for Center console etc?
