Compact SUV Based on Polo Platform??

Hello Friends

Please read the following news.. Can anybody cofirm if VW indeed is about to launch a compact SUV based on POLOs platform. The car in the pic,I must say, looks great.

But looking at the picture, it looks like little brother of VW Touareg

After the way their sales are going(read miserable), I dont think they would introduce anything in the Indian market anytime soon.

rightly said..i dont think skoda will launch such kind of SUV anytime soon. (before 2014 - 2015) if they have to then they will try luck with something else..well hopefully!!

So you mean the car is in production?? which country? Germany?

Even if its launched in India I guess it would be priced higher than Yeti.

There are so many compact SUVs in the world but No automaker bothers to launch one in India.. May be Premier Rio will nudge the auto cos to start thnking in that direction..Theres a huge untapped market in India for compact suvs in the 6-8 lac range or may be I think so as I am waiting for such an car.Ford fusion is the closest we Indians ever got to.
