Let us explore and discuss about the automobile industry and cars of our neighbors. We can focus on cars of all countries,( Pakistani cars, cars of Nepal etc.,)that lie within the Indian Sub-continent.

Let us begin with the Pakistani Automotive scene. It is dominated by passenger vehicles from Suzuki, Hyundai etc., and SUVs/Pick-ups from various multi-national and locally made brands.
CNG is very popular due to the low costs.

Let us start with the equivalents of Indian cars in Pakistan.
1st, the Suzuki Mehraan aka our very own Maruti 800.

Several other models of Pak are almost ditto like the Indian ones, like the corolla optra, city etc.

Here is one of Pak's popular small cars, the ADAM REVO, an indigenous product. I had 800 and 105 cc engines, and came with spacious beige interiors. Adam went defunct in 2006 though, because of the insecurity, political turmoil and lack of funds.

It was also known as the Cultus and in some nations, was sold as the Subaru Justy.

Chevys of Pak:
1. Chevy joy a.k.a, our Daewoo Matiz.

It has 1000cc SOHC, 4 cylinder, 8-valve engine with Multi-Port Injection (MPI) that produces 63 BHP
2. Chevy Aveo.

Akin to our Aveo. It comes with 85-horsepower, 1.5-liter SOHC inline-four cylinder MPFi backed by a standard five-speed manual or an optional four-speed automatic and 6 CD Changer.
3. Chevy Optra a.k.a our old Optra NY.

It has A four cylinder, 16 valve DOHC engine with multi-point fuel injection (MPFI) The 1.6 litre engine produces 107 hp at 5,800 rpm, maximum torque 150 Nm at 4,000 rpm, with a top speed of 187 Kmph for manual transmission models and 175 Kmph for auto transmission models
4.Chevy Colorado Pick up

It comes with a 3.0L, 4-cylinder engine that produces 146 hp @ 3600 rpm.
5-speed manual transmission; 4-speed automatic with overdrive available.
SRS Air Bag available (Driver and Co-Driver).
4-wheel ABS.

Yes, i recently came across an old newspaper with An old esteem with Swift badging on it.

There is one red Cultis Convertible in Bangalore, I believe. Auto India tested it in one old issue, which I have burried down somewhere in the attic.

1. Mehraan = Our pre 1997 M800.with a 3 cyl. 796cc engine. The front grille, and lights were recently changed. It has a steering similar to the esteem's.

2. Bolan = Our pre 2000 Omni High Roof, with a 3 cyl. 796cc engine.

3. Ravi = Bolan/old Omni Pick up

4. Alto = Our pre 2004 alto, with a 4 cyl. 970 cc engine, new head & tail-lamps.

5. Cultus = Our Esteem hatchback. No convertible option in Pak. 4 cyl. G10B EFi 993cc Engine.

6. Liana = Suzuki Aerio, meant to be the Esteem/Baleno replacement world wide.
Available in 1.4 and 1.6 L (AT) engines.

7. Swift. = Our Maruti Swift, with the DZire's Grille, and a 1.3L M13A engine.

8. APC = What we call a CBU in India. Imported to Pak. It can seat 8, and has almost all the features of our Innova V. 1.5 MPi Euro 2 Engine.

9. Jimny = Also an import. 3 door Soft Roader.1.3 MPi engine.

All of these come with CNG kit, except for the Liana 1.6 (and maybe the Jimny)
