DEAD. That's what this car is. [frustration]
Although looks good and better than the Boxy TUV and the duckling Quanto, the interior is simply prehistoric. The Xylo dashboard, which is 8 years old, simply looks pathetic. They haven't learnt a thing from Tata it seems. The quality of the materials also seems cheap, atleast in pics.
They could have used the TUV's dashboard instead of the Xylo's atleast, without the beige though.
The pricing is just laughable. What makes them think that customers will pick this thing over established and much better VFM rivals? [lol]
They are just screwing themselves up by confusing the customers.
Already they wasted an opportunity to create a monocoque CUV to rival the Ecosport and brought the pathetic selling TUV. Then they brought the world's ugliest KUV. (and they are proud of it!) It is a great package, but only if the KUV had been designed better, it could have worked wonders.
Now they just brought this decent looking Nuvosport, claiming it to be a lifestyle urban SUV, but screwed it up with pathetic interior and pricing! This just makes the TUV seem like much better value. Also, the TUV is rumored to get the same MHawk 100 engine soon.
So, what is the point of this car?
M&M guys! Sorry, but you better go and borrow some common sense from your rivals.

First of all a big thumbs-up for Akash for the live coverage. How was the experience buddy? From your point of view is this a pricing fiasco or its a dud at launch. A decent trendy exterior with equally pathetic interior with the segment so crowded with plenty of better options makes Nuvosport a complete let down by M&M

what are MnM guys thinking? Nuvosport and Tuv pitted against each other? Cannabalisation will surely happen. each one eating into one another.

Now what could be the reason for this? Is it an internal rivalry/competition in the organisation which created two similar products? One thought opting for a new product (TUV300) other thought upgrading Quanto (aka Nuvosport)? Each one out to prove their point?

Can be a great film subject.

To me it looks like there is some kinda war between departments of Mahindra Auto. That some one didn't like the fact that TUV and KUV usurped the Quanto/Xylo team, so some department head decided to get back with his/her own. That is exactly how the Nuvosport looks like. A warmed-up model. To those in the IT services world- looks like a new software with latest UI shown during a customer visit , but has the same components/modules one layer below. But [;)]no one is supposed to tell !

Front Looks macho but side and rear profile is same as Quanto. Dashboard is bit changed but its not as appealing as TUV3OO OR SCORPIO's dashboard. Pricing as very close to TUV3OO. [surprise]

Lets wait for official sales figure which will tell Nuvosport is a success or failed product like Quanto.

Thanks buddy. The event was good one. As of the car, it is just adding confusion. Whatever the price may be but in comparison to TUV 300 this one does not look exciting and with added chrome it further looks too loud. As a informed buyer, I will not buy it over a TUV. Though M&M said there would be minimal canibalization of sales in TUV and this but the fact is its a Quanto in the soul of this car. Utterly confusing product with a ornamental 3rd row.[:)]

I think that they did all the designing and changes for new Xylo however M&M tried to make some more money from the dead Quanto platform (shell) if they can, else the new parts/front will be used in Xylo which is loosing sales due to outdated looks and nearly eight years of same design.

And I would not be surprised if the new Xylo will be named as Nuvo (theahindra vehicle name ended with O)[;)]

I wonder what is the thought process in M&M, in relaunching this souped-up ugly duckling?

I have only 2 words, either they think they are more intelligent than the aam junta, or they are simply stupid.

Friends,

I drove the AMT Nuvosport today here. A good long TD done. The TD review of Nuvosport will be up by Wednesday.[:)] In short, It does not match to the TUV-3OO's styling and the AMT in Auto mode is not agile but in manual it is a decent performer for those who believe a car can take them from one point to another.

Regards

Akash
