Ford has just plonked in the 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, EcoBoost engine in this car. This compact motor produces 123 BHP of power and 170 Nm of torque (200 Nm on OverBoost).

Among older gen big cars, Mondeo was one car I always used to love! Used to like its elegant and prominent road presence! Badly wanted it to do well in India. But alas

Mondeo is supposed to compete with Passat, Superb, Camry and Accord.

123 HP and 170 Nm is two segments below.

Now it seems they want to replace New Fiesta with this.

Ford has many options of ecoboost engines incase they come with mondeo in India ofcourse they will bump it with higher options .

Is it just me or some else to thinks it has hints from Aston Martin Vanquish. 10/10 for the design but thumbs down to the engine specs. A car of such grade demands atleast 150+ hp of power.

It also has 1.6 and 2.0 Liter Ecoboost (Petrol) and 1.5 and 2.0 TDCi (Diesel). The 1.0 L Ecoboost is replacing Mondeo 1.6 with 118 BHP.

True. And rear reminds me of Maserati GranTurismo. Manufacturers are running out of ideas these days.

Thanks for the details buddy. Ford surely has a winner in their hands in form of this Ecoboost engine. Just imagine, a 1.0 ltr engine powering a sedan that too generating 118hp and 170 nm. Simply WOW.

The 1.0 Liter Ecoboost generates 123 BHP. It will replace existing 1.6 L that churns out just 118 BHP.

Without the viper on the rear would be nice and gives the look of the sedan.
