Another thing i noticed, your traveling about 1000+ on day 2 but abt 600 in day 3 and 700 for day4.
Any reason why? Cant you plan a regular distance ? Are you the only driver?

Best of luck buddy, well, leh was our dream too, and its the main purpose i bought my beast safari. we're also planning leh nearby. Hope we'll catch you on the way somewhere. do let us know your preparation and road maps. we can also copy that since i too from kannur. less homework for me :).

krish day 3 is via state highway after khedbrahma. so the roads will not allow an average speed of not more than 60kmph. day 4 i reach amritsar which is in my dreams since childhood. want to see the jalianwala bagh so badly since the day i read about the massacre by gen dyer in my schooldays and to witness the flag lowering ceremony at the waga border. 2 friends are planning to come along most probably who are also good drivers. but i never give the drivers seat as far as possible, never ever been bored driving. i don't intend to come via bang. i will go via mangalore- udupi -ankola
riaz buddy will happily share what ever data i gather.
there has been a terrorist strike on a CRPF camp in srinagar today. hope these bloody terrorists don't throw in a spanner in my trip.

how to upload the excel file

Same way as you upload a pic. Click on attachment icon on the board, click on browse and select the excel file and upload.. Simple

i tried it the same way fyzy but failed to up load and hence copied and paisted it.

no inputs yet mates. another development is that the air intake mechanism ( nose )of mine is diagnosed to be defective. its a manufacturing defect called as DNS- deviated nasal septum. end result is that i have a sinusitis. which needs a corrective surgery - septoplasty which will have to be done prior to the trip to the cold climate of ladak or else i would have trouble there. so planning to have it done by the end of feb or early march

Its a very small surgery. So it should not hurt u and the trip. I am not a specialist in Ent, but can do it for u even in ladakh if u want.

What is the size of the .xls file you trying to upload? according to the forum policy you cant be able to upload a file which is more than 3 MB.

PS: I tried uploading an excel file sized 18 KB and was able to.

Try changing the browser & upload it. If it still ain't working, then open up the excel file & save it in some other format. I mean try saving in the older formats if its a new version of microsoft office!

Jammu to Srinagar 8 hrs is only in Ideal traffic situations. Its better to do Jammu to Udhampur. Just have a walk around Udhampur, stay there for a night. Ad do the Udhampur-Srinagar the next day. Udhampur-Srinagar has a lot of traffic jams in the ghats.
