am already imagining Maruti's market share threatening to fall below 40% during the year 2016, possibly for the first time in the company's history. Let's see if this does come true.
You are just imagining Maruti's productline will be standstill and all others have new launches!
Maruti's YBA will take on the subcompact segemnt including the Creta head on. It has also planned its facelifts .
First in line will be the DZire AMT, followed by Swift. There will be AMT for its diesel SWIFT twins.
Mini crossover is planned for 2016. All hybrids -SHVS in diesel and petrol too is in the pipeline.
7 seater Wagon R - YJC for 2016 . New Swift, Ertiga in 2017 to name a few of its new launches.

Maruti will maintain its market share. They won't let the hard earned share let loose. They are experts in judging the mindset of Indian people. They will keep on adding products to their lineup. By 2018/19 Maruti will have cars across all segments under 50 lakhs, if that's high at least 30 lakhs. They'll plan according to the launches of their rival brands.

Maruti's sales are down 8-9% M-o-M, despite having Diwali in the month gone by. Let's see how other manufacturers fare M-o-M. If everybody sees a dip of few percentage points M-o-M, then possibly the entire industry has seen lower despatches during the 2nd half of November, i.e. after the end of Diwali days.
