Is there any updates about wagon r automatic transmission or AMT? It's been a while since I saw anything about it. There were confirmed news and pics pouring in few months back, but no updates till now.

Looks like by year end the AMT release should happen. This variant is already launched in Indonesia.

Maruti Suzuki's Market Share 2016-17

Maruti Suzuki's new launches like Vitara Brezza and the Baleno along with the company’s aggressive marketing strategy helped it to grow further to now have a market share of 47.38 percent in FY 2016-17 ( earlier held at 46.79 percent in FY 2015-16 )

This is how Maruti Suzuki closes 2017, 7 of the top 10 models are from its stable.

Small car Alto continued to dominate the sales chart, reporting sales of 2,57,732 units in 2017, followed by the DZire, Baleno, Swift and WagonR, in that order. It had two more models, the Vitara Brezza and Celerio, on the top-ten list.

With Suzuki’s manufacturing facility in Gujarat easing capacity constraints, sales of the Baleno hatchback rose nearly 64% to 1,75,209 units. The Vitara Brezza continued to fare well with sales shooting up 65.5% to 140,945 units.
Hyundai Motor had its Grand i10, Elite i20 and sports utility vehicle Creta on the top-ten list. While sales of the Grand i10 increased 13.6% to 1,54,746 units last year, those of the Elite i20 and Creta grew 13.9% (to 1,16,260 units) and 13.5% (to 1,05,485 units), respectively
