Damn really bad news for me. I will get full tank today itself ..........

I think ultimately they can rise only 2-3 Rs/Lit. Initially they will rise 4-5 Rs/lit followed by huge uproar all over India then they will cut price by 2-3 Rs/lit and our PUBLIC will be happy. Like this show goes on and on.

Anyway I am also going to fill tank till neck.

This will lead to huge corruption because the car owners may get diesel with subsidised price by giving bribe to pump owners.

I just filled my bike with some 5 Litres of petrol and some 22 litres diesel in my Ritz

They say that some thing will be announced tomorrow and probability is diesel hike by Rs.3 and petrol by Rs.5

Bring the cost of Petrol and Diesel cars at same level

Govt is now, less likely to do this, because previously petrol specialist auto companies, eg. Suzuki, toyota ,have all setup diesel car units (which is alot costlier than the old petrol units)all over India, when they learnt that, Indian buyer will always stick to fuel economy.(kitna deti hain, tv commercial) This they have done after numerous efforts to lure the car buyers for petrol cars.

If govt. equalizes the car prizes, diesel units will go bankrupt. There will be a rage againt the govt in the mind of automobile industry, which the govt will not afford (election funds) in presence of already widely disappointed common man.

this is India & anything can happen here buddy. Sometimes the govt will be knowing all these factors but they still will go with it. The main aim is to disappoint the common man. I feel ashamed to talk this of my country but this is whats happening here!

That's something good even if it won't happen soon. I actually feel the government should do this all over India to reduce the traffic, pollution etc. And people will start using high revving petrol cars!

If this happens then Honda would be . Because they are just planning to launch Brio based Sedan Amaze. And Honda will again bring in Civic and Accord petrol versions.

Yes, lot of companies have invested in in-house diesel units in the last year and would be banging their heads.

On the other hand, could be a short marketing gimmick before year end to clear off stock (petrol as well as diesels).

Hmm, I think nothing to be panic on this, as in India anything can happen rapidly and anything can be delayed inordinately. So all the decisions will have political reasoning behind and most of the times they are not in our hands we are just spectators and victims of them
