New Design Language in Automotive - Copy (oops Inspriation)

Well I thought we need to have a thread which highlights the exemplary work of the Copy paste artists working as car designers.

This thread is tribute to copy paste. RIP originality.

Chinese are blatant in photocopying and are league above the copy paste job so I am not going to include them in the thread.

These are the companies having businesss across the globe and yet they come up with strikingly similar looking car models.

1. Ciaz and City 2015 rear



2. Striking similarity between Corolla, Verna, Ciaz




3. Corolla and manza Hybrid
Now I feel Corolla seems like Manza Hybrid.



4. Then we have Hyundai once again not in the economical class but in luxury class.

Exactly my thoughts on seeing this latest cutting edge design from Hyundai.Those lights directly come from a Jag.The rear taillamps are Mercedes C class inspired.The body a mix of Maserati and the German trio.Do these people ever spare a thought about the countless toils the original designers would have spent in finalising these iconic shapes.Sad.

SKODA RAPID AND VW VENTO.

NISSAN SUNNY AND RENAULT PULSE.

There is a reason for this. VW and Skoda are coming under the larger umbrella of Volkswagen group. Similarly Nissan and renault are in a mutually beneficial strategic alliance since a long time. These partnerships often contribute mutually in resources and technical aspects while maintaining individual brand identities globally.

Lakshit had you searched a couple more pages of TIAGO thread then a more closer and identical twin you would have seen. Try comparing the side profile of TIAGO and FIGO in Golden color. In my this post I mentioned about this similarity. Ye Dekho, I am attaching the pic below of Golden Figo for reference.

Na, Celerio has no resemblance to TIAGO and neither has Brio.
