Re: Zen is Stalling Frequently - Help Required.

Update :

Yesterday:
The SA then told me that there's a problem with the injectors.one of the injectors was continuously spraying fuel, so there is a short somewhere in the electrical circuit and that they have to strip the whole car's wiring to check.

Today:
SA called me and said that they have checked the wiring's and not able to find any problem in it. Then he said there is definitely problem with engine Head. Also gasket is burnt. Engine is pouring excessive petrol out of the exhaust(I filled 5 liters and now they have also filled 6 liters petrol). He said one of the engine valves might be damaged. He told me to come to service station to check, and informed me the fix will approx cost 8-9k (oil change, gascate change)tomorrow they will be opening the engine.

Re: Zen is Stalling Frequently - Help Required.

I guess there would be no issues with the wiring, may be the issue with head gasket only.

Also check for other gaskets too, they might have burnt and might cause problem in future..

Re: Zen is Stalling Frequently - Help Required.

It would have happened because of driving without coolant/water in the radiator which makes the engine to heat up.

Re: Zen is Stalling Frequently - Help Required.

I would advice you to go down there are verify if the valves are indeed damaged.

The gasket damage is due to overheating.Check all the gaskets and oil seals.

Also get a compression test done.

Be sure to verify stuff before you let them touch the engine. If those jobs are not executed properly they will be a ever growing pain in your backside.

As for the injectors you can get them serviced.

Very Impotant: When you checked the oil using the dipstick after this problem, what color was the oil?

As long as it is not milky white, it is ok.

Milky white means that water has entered the block.

This could mean the end of your engine.

Get your radiator thoroughly flushed.

You keep on driving after so many indication . you must be cruel!

2 suspects.
either the ac compressor is jammed/overheat - for once try without the ac belt.

or

No coolant and car is running at high temperature.

Since one of your mech had found no coolant , check its route.
clean and flush them thoroughly.

Check if your thermostat is stuck up.

On repeatedly running on high temperature , the head gasket must be gone bust.

Call yourself lucky if water and oil did not mix.

wiring and injectors dont fail that easily.

Too much white smoke is unburnt petrol.

No it was not milky white, today I have seen the opened head and oil color is golden

Yes, checked

Check O2 sensor , AFM , Spark plugs and distributor pipes
Everything checked, no problem in this area

:frown: ya , agree. But car was running smoothly for first 10 kms, and also the temp gauge , oil indicator was not giving signals. Worst is that I didn't got time as I had important project delivery in office. but yes, I should not have used the car.

This is not the case
or No coolant and car is running at high temperature.
coolant was there but the pipe inside the tank was somehow removed. I didn't noticed this.

Check if your thermostat is stuck up.
Checked , no issues

On repeatedly running on high temperature , the head gasket must be gone bust.
Yes, It is gone

Call yourself lucky if water and oil did not mix.
I am lucky.

Yes no problem found in wiring.

gaskets are gone hopefully if not there can be a crack.
Head gasket is gone.

Update: Visited service station today morning and checked the car. The SA told me that they have thoroughly checked all wiring , fuel injector, radiator, thermostat , spark plugs step by step and found problem with head gasket. The engine head was removed and will be sent for checkup. (outside service station - I asked why then the SA told me that it requires special machinery which no maruti service station got, they get the work done at a big private workshop, I asked him why maruti has not this service then he told me that , in that case it should be sent to gurgaon ) so now head will be tested and then I will get report tomorrow.

Re: Zen is Stalling Frequently - Help Required.

They are sending it to a lathe shop, probably to check for leaks and cracks.

Along with the head gasket change all the other gaskets that come in the gasket kit and also the oil seals.

There is also a basket where the water pump connects to the block since everything is opened now it would be a good idea to change that as well.

Would be a good idea to get the tappets adjusted with the proper gap.

Get the spark plugs cleaned and gapped.

Get the timing checked.

Yes, SA told me this.

I asked SA about other gaskets , he told me that its not required to check others. Will ask him now.

OK

Get the spark plugs cleaned and gapped.
They are new, changes before 1.5 month, will get it done also.

Get the timing checked.
sure

The highlighted should be gasket.Spelling error sorry.

Be sure to change the entire gasket set, because if the heat can cause the head gasket to fail surely the other ones would have suffered some damage.

Get the injectors cleaned and get the radiator flushed and pressure tested for leaks.

Change all the hoses and pipe that would have been damaged due to overheating.

Check the timing belts and water pump belts. Also check the timing belt tensioner(this is a bearing that needs to be changed when it starts making grinding noises)

Since the head is removed get the tappets adjusted.

Garage staff are way too lethargic to do the actual jobs that are needed.

All this will help your car perform more efficiently.
