@Varun:I think that is the margin for heat damage. The head must have warped a little. Not perfectly flat.
Yeah dude you can check the prices for a used head, it will be helpful for him.I think its a 4valve mpfi head.he said his car was a 2006 zen lxi.
Correct me if I am wrong @surfer
Ps:There is an oil strainer in the engine, ask them to clean it thoroughly.
Hi get your head faced if faced too much try double head gasket to retain the compression try this before going for a new head
Also do you use coolant or plain water in radiator? in any case get the thermostat "VALVE" checked along with radiator fan.
removing of valve will result in late heating of engine resulting in damage to engine in long run. In morning when you start the vehicle temperature needle moves to half in very short time after removal of valve it takes very long time to reach normal operating temperature still does not reach that level for mpfi vehicles it is very necessary to keep temp at bay
Removing thermostat valve is not at all advisable. The engine should be kept in stock condition, atleast. Removal of thermostat valve is detrimental to the engine. Components can be removed without getting any visible affect to the engine. But thats not the way it is.
