Got quote from a dealer in Chennai today.
175/65-R14
Yoko - 4450/tyre
Apollo - 4150/tyre

195/60-R14
Yoko AA01 - 5050/tyre
Yoko ES100 - 5270/tyre
Apollo - 5000/tyre

Price is justified?
I'm much inclined towards Yoko 175/65-R14 for fiesta. What do you say guys?

Hi Boss,
Whether its Yoko or Apollo, I hope you are aware of decoding the manufacturing date from the tyres. Make sure the one you choose are not more than 5 Months old.

not sure about the prices mate
am more worried about the wider tyres , will it fit properly on the alloys ? will your tyre walls scratch against the quarter panels?
going off set?

Not sure about Fiesta. 195 section width is used in many NHCs against the spec of 175. No issues

yeah just double check after fitting

because thats what happens with most of the cars
Most of the japanese cars are rear wheel drive and what we do is we put wider tyres at the back to have a better grip

and in that instance we make sure that its properly set on an offset so the car doesn't really sit on the tyres when thers load at the back

For example this fitment on civic

Both our cars City & Fiesta got one puncture each. Running with spare wheels only. No time to either get the punctured wheel repaired or go for complete set of new tyres. [frustration]

BTW, any one installed 195 profile shoes in Fiesta? I have seen quite a number of NHC with 195 profile running without any issues. How about Fiesta?

i own a ford fiesta with mrf tyres. Its a 2007 Model and done only 35000 kms.My tyres were not fully flat but has some small buttons.I feel mrf is not good it has more tire noise and its noisy driving 120+kmph. so suggest me good tires without tires noise and my most of the driving constitute only in town roads but some times in rough roads when i go for hills station.

guys please help me with the good set of tyres and 195 or 175
I guess the stock size is 175/65 R14. You can up-size to 185/60 R14 , 195/60 R14 or 195/55 R14. 195 is too wide for a 68 bhp diesel car.

If you are sticking to stock size, then Michelin XM2 is the most suitable tyre for your needs. Yokohama A drive is also available at that size. AFAIK A drive isn't as good as XM2. If you are tight on budget, you can select Apollo Acelere.

If you are choosing 185/60 R14 , Yokohama C drive is the best option followed by Michelin XM2 and Acelere.
