Note:All that I am posting this is not from my driving experiences. Just feel that they belongs to it which is from what I heard, read
Hatchback:From your requirements it the swift diesel. It is fun to drive, handling is good I think.I dont know whether swifts performance is aggressive or not.
Hatchback- Swift has the aggressive performance and is fun to drive with its peppy engine but not a great handler but Punto on the other hand doesn't have the aggressive performance but is a great handler and is fun to drive because of its driving mannerisms. Finally i would give it for Punto 90HP since it satisfies most of the above requirements.
Entry level sedan- None of the entry level sedans are aggressive performers and none of the them except the Fiesta classic are great handlers. Fiesta classic is also the only driver's car which is fun to drive in this segment. So it has to be the Fiesta classic here.
C-segment sedan-Aggressive performers would be City , Verna and Vento. Great handlers are Linea and Vento. Fun to drive factor again Linea and Vento. So i would give it to the Vento here.
I have taken the cars which are doing currently well in the segment and are being manufactured even now. So out goes good cars like Palio , Optra Magnum , Ikon etc etc
Best all-round drivers car in Hatch would be Punto 90HP. No doubt. Although Swift D is peppier but lacks high speed grace and has hard suspension and not to forget little feedback on steering.
Entry level sedan - fiesta classic
C seg - Cant say. Havent driven one with diesel heart!
Hatch back – Aggressive performance: VW Polo, Best handling – Fiat Punto, fun to drive – VW Polo.
Entry level sedan – Aggressive performance: Maruti Dezire, Best handling – Maruti Dezire, fun to drive – Maruti Dezire (There is no competition for Maruti Dezire in entry level sedan).
C class sedan– Aggressive performance: VW Vento, Best handling – Fiat Linea, fun to drive – Ford Fiesta (New).
+1 to that. Absolutely what I would've replied.
Adding to that in C segment I would rate Vento at top. It's only a notch below Fiesta in handling but the diesel powerplant in best in it's class. It's wild to say the least and is the torque king of the segment.
Very True Surfer. Just one thing that makes me drool on Vento is that it makes it peak at just 1500 rpm. Now just imagine driving this awesome low end torque machine. No doubt Magnum is equally amazing car oops...beast.
P.S. Just reliased that this very post is 100th from mine. Hurray!!!!!
@ Freakdude Agree with you! I am lucky enough to get to drive my friend's Vento TDI Highline! But though it has an amazing low end torque , pick up in first gear is very slow or sluggish but after that its awesome. My Verna has 235Nm torque and the Vento lacks the grunt or pick-up in first gear which my Verna has , but after that Vento is just awesome!
BTW Congratulations for 100 posts , keep up the good work!
