Which is best Hatch now available in India?

My budget is 7lks to 7.5 at max, I’m still confused either i need to check with patrol or diesel, can you please share your thoughts.

There is nothing like best Hatch.

One should go for the Hatch which suits his/her needs best.

First of all list down your hatch needs.

1. Petrol/Diesel.
2. Daily Usage.
3. Power and/or comfort.
4. etc.

There are many reviews available for different Hatchs on TAI that will fit in your budget. So go through them. Finalize/Nail Down few Hatchs and then TAI members will surely help you get the best that fits your need.

In my view at this moment :

Best petrol Hatch : Honda Jazz

Best diesel Hatch : Fiat Punto 90HP ...

IMO

As per your rang you should TD Punto 1.3 Emotion + or Punto 90 HP

i am very much interested only patrol varient,and monthly approx 800km in bangalore city and highway 300+ to home town.

2. City-Highway usage percentage

mostly from home to office then office to home in week days,

3. Tell us which models you have shortlisted

Since you are very much interested in petrol hatch then here is the list of mine:

Honda Jazz:(My personal choice)
1)Spacious cabin.
2)Sporty interior.
3)Honda reliability.
4)Ride and handling.
5)A big boot.
6)Best driving position.
7)FE is simply great.


VW POLO 1.6:(My hot favorite)
I never recommend Polo 1.2 to anyone.

1)1.6 engine is a gem.
2)Handles like a sports car.
3)Built to last feel.
4)The mid range performance..this is where Jazz is beaten by Polo,and this is where the car will spend 90% of her life.
5)Quality interiors.
6)Ride and handling.
7)Big boot.

Skoda Fabia 1.6:(My personal choice,even before Jazz)
1)The best hatch I feel to be available here.
2)Leave those A.S.S. issues(actually they really don't exist,I drive a Laura and is happy with it)..and there is really nothing to complain in this car.
3)Good to drive,good for chauffeur driven..both.
4)Most luxurious cabin and most spacious too(nearly equal in Fabia and Jazz).
5)Ride...
6)A top whack of 190 kph.
7)Built to last feel.
8)Mid range.
9)Don't forget that most comfy rear seat and that rear a/c vent too.

If I was in your place, I would pick the Jazz.Since you are not looking for a diesel, Jazz would be the perfect fit. It has the brand image, space, ride, efficiency & comfort.

My heart says Fabia 1.6,my mind says Jazz.
And its a fact that in a battle of heart and mind,the victory of mind always brings fortune.

but wrost part is,jazz waiting period is in Bangalore between 8 to 10 months and now they stopped bookings , I called up Whitefield Honda and other Honda dealers.

after reaching this forum,I have decided to pick final two (polo and jazz), please give me more differences between those.

I really don't like FIAT; main issue with FIAT is service.

In My district in AP, hardly i can see the FIAT service centers

Even you are not comfortable with JAzz's waiting period, then you can go for Polo, but if you drive yourself, buy the polo 1.6 as the 1.2 is a slow coach.

polo is not as roomy as the jazz though.
