i hate the tata indica. reasons-

1) its slower than a locomotive. it takes ages for the speedo to reach 100. drivabality is a joke too.
2) the dashboard is set to compete with mount everest. its so high that you can see only the sky & not the road ahead.
3) the interior design & quality is from the times ambassador went to the drawing board.
4) after 2 years, the car emits all sorts of noises along with engine noise & the horn stops working!
5) driver ergonomics? whats that? some alien? steering is set high, gear lever is way too far, power window switches cannot be operated normally, control stalks are in some different world from the steering & the likes.
I agree with you mate,it's got to be indica.

The cars I am flabbergasted by are the relics like Ambassador and the Padmini. I mean, after sitting in any car designed post 1990, it is difficult to even enter the cramped quarters of the Padmini for instance. Its astonishing how a car that one would eagerly sit in the childhood days can become so cramped and funny looking in adulthood. After experiencing the solid as rock Fiat Linea, I just cant bring myself to sit in an Ambassador or a Padmini. Of course, they had had their shot and have now faded into oblivion.

I hate cars that are junk AND try to look like something WAY better. BTW,this is my own opinion, and considering the no. of owners, please do not take personally
1.Swifts: I like the car,but when it tries to look like something it's not (e.g. OEM bodykits and vinyls),I hate it.It,in India has only a 1.2 mjd and dunno about the petrol.Look at the Liva Sportivo. It has an engine that is better than the standard model, hence they included a bodykit.

2.dZires: Due to the Indian misconception that three-box cars are luxurious, status symbols,Maruti strapped a boot onto the Swift and named that first-gen dZire. Now it has improved, but it's still junk.

3.Honda Brio/Amaze: Just because another Indian misconception that Hondas are status symbols, the company released the models.Although I like the Mobilio.

4.Indica: J-U-N-K. Try finding a non-Vista without a major dent.

5.Indigo:Better than Indicas, and unlike the dZire, the boot is better integrated. But it is the one which should be blamed for being a Tata and the founder of the compact sedan segment.Only Tata that I like is the Nano [clap].Again, the views are only mine, everyone has a different story.

I don't hate cars. But the only vehicle I don't like is Nissan Evalia. With AC off, the vehicle is a nightmare for middle and last row passengers. I was wondering what made them think of leaving the roll down windows for middle row passengers. [frustration]

if one sees a car as a mechanical wonder then there really isnt any car to be hated. Every car has been put into production after lot of hard work. So i dont really hate any cars on their flaws but I do hate the Ertiga for the way some of its owners consider it a ''super car'' and refuse to consider any other car better. Though, it is a really good package on the whole.
No offence to anyone[:)]

If I buy a Polo GT, you'll hate it for the exact same reason!

Let me put up my list of cars which I 'dislike' and not 'hate' , afterall its all about personal preference. No offense to the owners.
1. Ertiga - As jerwin said, it's the attitude of some owners which makemakes me dislike the car. It is still a capable car imo.
2. Etios - A poor car by toyota.

I hate Santro, Alto(cramped and old), Xylo, Bolero, XUV5OO, Quanto(Poor quality and ride) Verito Vibe(old and ugly), Duster (not worth the money and poor quality), Datsun Go, Etios and Liva(Too much dull and cost cuttings), New Honda City(Lots of cost cuttings for the money) and Omni (old metal box on wheels).
I didn't mean to offend anyone guys!
An update of my "hate list" [:D] :
I like the new XUV5OO while I hated the original one.
The Xylo is no longer in my hate list.

My current hate list is:
1. Baleno (Terrible looking and worst quality interiors along with puny engines. Nothing premium.)
2. Duster and Mobilio. (Poor value, poor quality but too much overpriced and over-rated. The Mobilio is one ugly MPV too.)
3. Facelift Innova. (Evil looking VAN with that Godzilla sized grille! Also exhorbitantly over priced!)
4. Alto and A-Star (Un-usable for me and totally cramped.)
5. Santro (Cramped and bad ride quality)
6. Omni (Almost every enthusiast hates it and additionally I hate it because of way the cabbies drive them.)
7. Honda City. ( Poor quality metal and interiors. Extrovert interiors.)
8. Toyota Etios/Liva and Datsun GO/Go+. (Shows the amount of respect those Japanese brands have on us Indians.)
9. Quanto. (Ugly duckling with some seriously ugly dynamics.)
10. Sunny and Dzire facelift (Made ugly in the name of face lift.)
11. Bolero (Too old and too crude.)

My hatelist :

1. Mahindra TUV300

Read the above line quickly and it would sound like Mahindra TV300, which sounds much better for Samsung or Sony products. First thing is the name. The next thing is that it wants to look like a Range Rover and someone chopped the rear end so brutally that it ended up looking like a brick. The Bolero would have died of shame after seeing the TUV300 (which was supposed to be a replacement for the legendary Bolero, right?).

2. Honda City 4th Gen

The exteriors are totally crap. The 3rd generation looked 10 times better. People say, in some cars, that the designers made the front so good-looking that they were tired till the last. Looks like Honda designers started from the rear this time! [lol]

3. Tata Zica

This looks another fusion of lots of cars already on sale. A casual observer can mistake it for the Grand i10. People are having so much hopes with the car and I don't think all that will convert into actual sales. Then again the tantrums start, Tata cars are under-rated, this and that, but fact remains a fact. Tata focussed on exterior, interior and overall quality this time but cut corners on drivability (and engines) : which according to me is the primary thing in the car. Engine is the heart of a car.

4. Tata Zest

The car was quite capable but looks wierd in person. This looks like a swimming duck with its rear end pushed up! The car looks very good in person but is too tall and short (length-wise) that it makes the Dzire and Amaze better looking, despite the Dzire having a poorly integrated boot.

5. Honda Mobilio

Wow! Something to learn from Honda. How one can have 2 different cars (actually 3) with so different price tags but an identical face! Failure was guaranteed. And the lesser I talk about the window (2nd row), the better. It looks like designers designed the rear half and already had the front half (from Brio/Amaze), bought them closer to make it an MPV but wait, there was a design issue. Boss said, "Hey! This is India. Just merge it". And repeating the mistake they did with Jazz was really unexpected.

6. Datsun Go+

The Go looked quite good for its price. In the future, Datsun would come up with a 12/15 seater version of Go (add 2 more wheels at the end) and name it Datsun Go++. They feel that they can make anything out of a Datsun Go : Go bike, Go cycle, Go sedan, Go SUV, Go convertible, Go GT, Go Limousine, Go bus, Go train, Go plane and what not! [clap]

Will update when I have more names in mind.

Agree fully on TUV300. Like I say, my 3-year old niece could have designed this one in terms of shape! Agree you cant do much about the weight (being ladder-frame) but atleast give it the Scorpio engine ??

Another car that I do not like in terms of looks is the Dzire (post facelift). In fact, I have a bit of a problem with all sub-4 m sedans. They always feel aesthetically compromised. This segment will die a quick death post GST implementation, me feels.
