Guys i am thinking of data card , though i am using Broadband from BSNL.
I would like to purchase the one with maximum availability all over india.
So that i can use it on the move.
Esp during my trips.
So any suggestions with suitable plans??

depends on the speed you need.
I have a tata photon whiz and its decent speed.
about 150 kbps
700 bucks monthly unlimited.

Why don't you add Reliance and Virgin datacards your list?

During my December trip to India. My dad used to use it before also. It didnt work properly in Patna. Kolkatta also only selected areas it worked at full speed. It was quite disappointing. I heard Reliance is out with something like this recently.

I live in Amritsar, and it is NOT a metro.
And its speed is very VERY good.
infact i am typing this from a dell mini connected via a photon.

Reliance = crap
I have used their products and they dont have signal at 99% of places in Delhi.

Guys finally i went for Tata Photon Plus, But the thing is it is yet to be activated.
How long will it take for activation of subscription.
I went for Pre-paid speed upto 3.1 mbps.

that is what exactly i had. but i never got 3.1 mbps. i got like 512kb - 1mb.
