@ 350Z Simple , just upgrade your HDD. I guess your computer must be old now and so warranty issues too. Or as you planned change your PC soon.

Thanks for suggestions, but whatever I upgrade, I just can not live with it anymore! Some strange issues have cropped up with it now lately.

Mine is a Desktop with an AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+, 1 GB RAM, NVIDIA Ge Force 7025/NVIDIA nForce 630a and I use a BSNL Broadband 750 UL. I guess my system is outdated now.

The RAM and other hardware are costly.
And you can't expect a new hardware as they are outdated.
So Vibhor visit the web i had pmed you earlier.
So you can get a rough idea.

What do you mean RAM is costly?? Just 1 year ago, I'd seen 1 GB RAMs for Rs 750.
You can easily get a 2 Gb ram for under Rs 2000.

I went with my colleague yesterday to get his desktop an upgrade. While we were there, the shop-wallah who also was my junior at college told me that they have exchange offers or that you can give in your used hardware for a price without any exchange.

Now had been wondering of changing my monitor for quite some time now. Its a 2008 Samsung SyncMaster 632NW 15.6 inch widescreen. Its has a contrast ratio of 2000:1. I asked him what would he offer for my monitor if I trade it in. He said 3500 Rupees which I believe is a good price, reason being that I had purchased it for 5750/-.

Well the upgrade that I have in mind is either the Samsung Myst Eco B1930N which is an 18.5 inch monitor or the B2030 Myst Eco which is a 20 inch one. Both are widescreens and retail for 6900/- for the 20 inch one and 6700/- for the 18.5 inch model. Both of them also have a contrast ratio of 50000:1 which is way ahead of my current monitor.

Now the problem I have is that my desk is built in such a way that it cannot accommodate a 20 inch monitor. 18.5 inches is the maximum it can take in. Then if I keep the monitor to the edge of the desk towards me,then it can accommodate the 20 inch monitor,But I feel that the monitor will be so close to my eyes and wonder what will be the cons ? And I am a little confused as the difference between the two options are just 200 rupees.

What do you think I should do guys?
