Diesel will also be freed of govt control: PM

Diesel will also be freed of govt control: PM - India Business - Business - The Times of India

If Diesel price are going to be up and difference still low. What is use of investing RS.1,00,000/- more for it? Any way diesel has high maintainability cost. Running cost benefit is gonna almost loss. I think in coming time you will see all Petrol cars only.

Honda are you listening. Stop for some time before developing diesel engine.

A good poll but “Don’t Know” option should have been “Can’t Say” and that’s my pick. The diesel engines will always benefit for long running.

But if the prices of diesel and petrol get nearly same then buying of petrol car would be a better deal.
But i dont think such a thing is going to happen in the near future. Maybe this move will lead to the growth of electric/hybrid vehicle market.

why i choose Diesel over Petrol
1. Mileage difference of 5-6 Km/lit
2. More powerful engine.
3. Higher torque at low rpm.
4. Less pollution Diesel produces less CO2 and CO. Much more cleaner than petrol if burned correct.
5. Low rpm.

right now the difference between diesel & petrol is close to 10 rs. even if diesel prices increase, the gap would lessen but still be significant. also, along with diesel, petrol prices would also increase. this combined with the superior FE of diesels, give is an advantage over petrols where economy is concerned.

No chance.
Petrol cars give better performance, are easier to maintain and are less noisy and smells good too.
Enough reason to leave diesel for good.

Petrol engines are finest one , if i have loads of vitamin M i will buy petrol car (though i own one petrol lancer - only for business purpose, gonna buy a manza soon)

Petrol engines are
More refined
Less noise or no noise
Cheaper in maintenance
Also like nill maintenance other than oils for almost first 6o to 80 k kms.
Even beyond that.

BUt i'll buy a diesel engine now

For diesel price is lesser
Torquey engine
engine noise - is like a rythem
for the feeling , running cost is low
For its millage due to the torque y engine!

Smelling good is not good buddy.
Petrol is causing more pollution than diesel.
Diesel usually burns fully and leaves a black smoke , Which is visible to us & we find its polluting.
But that's not the case.
Petrol has harmful Co which causes more damage than Diesel.

I dont care a damn about the environment.
If I did, I would have been driving a Reva.
And there is no thing as global warming, its all media hype.
And diesel polluting less than petrol is the funniest thing I have ever heard.

And I love the way Petrol smells :stupid:

Thats shocking mate! you dont care for our mother earth? anyways, your wish!

If I did, I would have been driving a Reva.
if reva would be practical as other cars, many would buy it.

you seriously need to research more. no offence, but this is not at all a media hype. have you heard about the glaciers melting? have you seen the sudden increase in natural calamities like floods & cyclones? have you not experienced the increase in temperature?

And diesel polluting less than petrol is the funniest thing I have ever heard.
however funny it seems, its true buddy. both diesels & petrols pollute, but petrols emit more CO2 which is very harmful for the environment .

well guys diesel will always remain cheaper than petrol even if it is a Re.1 or 2 difference but i will anyday prefer diesel vehicle for already said reasons which mainly include power and torquey engine grunt!

@AMG..dude you really need to learn a lot about global warming in general. no serious person will say like that.
