Ahead of its debut at the 2012 Sau Paulo Motor Show in Brazil, German auto giant Volkswagen has unveiled the Taigun compact SUV, which is based on the underpinnings of the Up! hatchback. The Taigun, which will measure under 4 meters in length is a compact SUV. The Indian angle to this story of course is the fact that this compact SUV could make it to India in due course of time given this particular comment by the Volkswagen Sales Chief Christian Klingler,
The Taigun is a four-seater powered by a 1.0-litre TSI engine that produces 110 PS and 175 Nm. Weighing just 985 kg, it can speed all the way up to 186 km/h and accelerates to 100 km/h in 9.2 seconds, while delivering a combined fuel consumption figure of 22.2 kpl.
I am sure they can easily source an Diesel Engine for this model for our market.
