Vellore to Thirunallar - Suggestion needed

Friends,
We planned to visit Saneeshwara Temple on coming Tuesday(10.01.12).

Our plan - Starting from vellore on tuesday early morning around 5 am.
Night stay at Tirunallar & return to Vellore on Wednesday night.

Car - Indica(Blacky) Always ready to come with me :)

No. of occupants - Myself, My Dad, Mom , Sister & her Husband.

Route decided -> Vellore - Tiruvanamalai - Panruti - Sirkazi - Karikal - Thirunallar

So guys let me know the road condition on these route,
Places to visit in Thirunallar..

Roads are just about okay buddy , your Indica can manage the roads though. December i returned from Thirunallar to Chennai , till Pondy the roads are just about okay.

No the roads are not too bad , any car can manage those roads , its not good either with several broken patches in between.

My cousin from cuddalore told me the roads are damaged in his district due to heavy rain during "Thane" strom.

Karikal is also near to coastal area, so I thought the roads may get damaged...

hope the roads should be like as you said :)

Of course yes i visited just before Thane storm struck us , it may have got worse even now!

Trip Completed Successfully with one puncture..

Total distance : 750km.
Places Visited : Tirunallar - Tiruvarur - Kumbakonam..

The Road condition from Vellore to Tirukovilur was good, from Tirukovilur to Panruti was some was manageable,we can maintain maximum 50km/hr. And there was no trees on the roads. All the trees are broken due to"THANE"...

From Panruti to Chidambaram contains some worst roads. Even my car underchase touched the road 4-5 times.. A Iron rod(Don't know the exact name) below the Engine got damaged & touched the Engine.. That created the whole car body into Vibration.. later we repaired near Vadalur.. In some places near Chidambarm I maintained just 10km/hr for 15-20 mins..


The roads to Thiruvarur & Kumbakonam are nice roads without patches..
