Any specific reason for swapping the existing Swift with a second hand model? Please let us know the budget and requirements so that we can advice better.

If that's the only reason, the issues can be fixed and consider installing CNG / LPG if high costs of fuel are hurting the wallet.

Re: Car Upgrade

Swift Kolkata, let me know your budget first, since your requirement for 1500 Km Per month, why can't you go for Diesel Swift

In kolkata there will be no CNG.Installing LPG is safe and cost effective?what about rattle?Any suggestion to stop the same?

Rattles can be fixed if the source is identified. Please refer and continue the related discussion in the following threads:

Rattling is a common issue with maruti[glasses]We have a Swift petrol 1.3 ZXi (2005) with 26000+ in the ODO. Rattling from the rear door panels and the parcel tray is on the higher side. We have learned to live with the rattles[:D].
If you want an upgrade from your current car try something other than Swift.
Do consider diesel as you have got monthly run is above 1500km.

If your budget is 3.5 Lakhs and you're serious about switching to some other second hand car and not fixing your own car. Why not look for something other than a Swift. It is understandable if you have affinity towards the swift. Then sure go for another swift.

I would say for 3.5 Lakhs plus your current car you should be able to get a low mileage good condition ZDi if you're interested in Diesel.

P.S: Does your budget include the sale of your current car or exclude it?

I would say go for the diesel swift. As you can get a good one in that budget. And since your monthly running is 1500Km diesel is the best option to go with buddy.
