Thanks Pradeep,

The SX (O) Option is back for the Manual Transmission. Unfortunately not available for the Automatic Transmission though. Yeah I intend to do a thorough check of the car before I take delivery.

Thanks

Hi Amsam,

I would recommend not to buy the November made Verna. As far I remember, Verna SX(O) manufactured during that time line came only with 2 airbags and no speed sensing auto locks.
Confirm that before buying. Don't go by the dealer's word.

Also VTVT SX(O) AT is available now. Check with another dealer before committing anything.

Welcome to TAI Amsam.
Kenkits is correct regarding the reduced features on the Nov'13 production Verna. I read those features are now back again after the price change.

The hyundai site doesnt mention any new SX(O) VTVT AT variant anymore. Its better you inquire with the dealerships, but do remember they will push you towards an immediate sale regardless of variant.

If you are keen on taking the top end model due to the presence of the additional features, then I guess you dont have much of a choice at the moment. Now assuming you opt for the SX variant, as far as I know, you can add better aftermarket projectors and leather upholstery, but I am not sure about the push button start and keyless entry.

PS: Regardless, that variant at 1lac less is a sweet deal. [;)]

Thanks for all the advice guys. I just checked with the dealer and searched the VIN number and Chassis number online as well. The model is manufactured on 23rd Oct 2013 and it does have 6 Air Bags.

I myself was not too keen about this one, but rest of my family thinks 1 Lac less is a great deal. I will do a very very thorough check of the car before i Take delivery and will post pics and detailed review accordingly.

The VTVT SX (O) option is now available only in Manual Transmission and not in Auto Transmission anymore. I checked with couple of other Hyundai dealers as well. There are 3 dealers in Mumbai who have this SX (O) AT version in stock still. So I am guessing they will be trying to dispose that off one way or the other soon.

I will advice to not taking a Oct 2013 manufactured car, that’s way to old, 7month is not a joke. Push the dealer and wait for their next lot delivery. In Mumbai you will easily get 1-2month back manufactured dated car. The most recent is good. Laying a car down in dealer backyard makes few parts started rusting and sometime old MFG dated cars used for test drive if test drive car is not available. You wont get anything by looking at the Mileage counts. If they does they could disable that.

@allhyundaicars: Thank you. I use the car only on weekends and for long drives. So nothing much on the odo. I hate to take it to office everyday due to traffic and parking woes.

That is low odo reading for a diesel car... car looks good...[thumbsup]
Plus One on that. More than the "as good as new looks in the Car Parking", one would derive much more pleasure when it is run. In the attached Pic, the car was resting after a two day run covering B'lore to Trichy to Tiruchendur to Sivakasi run. The kids playing around the car throughout the day sort of cleaned it :-)

See ... it is a Pleasure Car. Advice to anyone with any diesel car : Be on the look out and latch onto every opportunity [;)] to take her out of City limits.

Not sure how the current Verna owners feel about the Solaris, but I dont find it really appealing. Atleast not in the pic posted. And yeah, I understand, facelifts are heartbreaking!
